How to run Final Expansion 3 Files on XVIC?

I came across these collections for the Final Expansion 3 which consist of many files, however I can't seem to get most of the attached files running on my xvic (Vice 3.8 )

https://ops.github.io/FE3-Software-Collection/

There is a loader for many files, and I don't know how to properly attach the files to make the loader work.

And the .81 for infocom does not run either.

Help please?

(mod: thread moved from General Topics to Emulation and Cross Development. The E & CD section is explicitly there to deal with that kind of stuff!)

In first place you will need to operate VICE xvic with an emulation of the FE3 cartridge. This needs a suitable firmware image of FE3. Please check the relevant details in this post: Using FE3RD in VICE (was: Re: FE3 RAM Disk).

You'd then unpack ops' repo in a directory on the host PC and point VICE to it with True Drive Emulation off and Virtual Devices on. This provides VICE access to the PC directory in very much the same way as the FE3 would have to the SD card in its built-in SD2IEC. Again, see further details here: How to start .prg files in VICE.

The loader files are then accessed from the FE3 main menu with the F3 key ("Disk Loader").

I suck.

I really need point to point instructions.

Can't get anything to work.
