It's only a matter of time and he'll vanish and reappear under another username like nothing ever happened
Think it's time to shift the collecting focus to something else in the meantime until he's maxed out (why frustrate things more and waste my time bidding on something as he has a strong RPG interest like myself).
I dunno...it might be worth it to create a fake eBay account and follow Worldlam around to bid against him; find out what his breaking point is...

This is the end of vic Ebay collecting for me (it was getting kind on my budget already)
I may be wrong, but I followed the last isellgames4u auctions and only the things that went very high were relisted as an expensive buy-it-now. They must have 2 of certain things. I picked up a few cheapos (99c for Trinity is OK), but got beaten by Mr Lam a few times.
I don't see how he can buy EVERY copy of a game to corner the market. Even what we consider rare in the field must run to 1000s of copies, being unearthed all the time.

That's precisely why his strategy is so foolish.
In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.

He didn't sell a 1541, AFAIK. I was as surprised as you that he would sell a 1541 for a reasonable price, so I had to take a look at the auction. It wasn't for a disk drive, but for the serial cable. With Buy it Now set to $15. For a cable that Protovision sells for EUR 4, including shipping inside Europe.

well, he did sell several 1541's and C64's in lots - eventually. his pricing was so out of whack to begin with that nobody was bidding. his store is basically a huge flop though, it's fun to watch. he has no clue. he may have just flooded the market a bit too much on the Ultima stuff now as well. the more choices available, the less people can generally bid on it all at once.
i may have made a pretty goofy mistake trying to thwart him the other day, though it looks like it's caused him to slash over $200 off the particular title. if i could do that with everything he has for sale, i certainly would.
I've been following his thread on Lemon 64, without commenting. It's quite clear that he has absolutely no business sense whatsoever. After seeing zero sales, he finally figured out how to ship internationally. Probably desperate to dump his inventory and recover his losses, his eBay store now features things like the Commodore MAX games and Commodore 64 games at $9.95 each. Did someone want Space Taxi? Ten bucks to buy it now! His latest message at Lemon 64:
"Ok all items at open auction now I took away all buy it now which is a big joke and never brings any sales.
Come steal everything Smile
Now I dont have to listen about complaints about pricing now. Smile"
In a matter of WEEKS, we've witnessed a business go from boom to bust.

Wow it's almost like the dude is manic depressive or something
Or maybe his credit card min. payment is due
Now if he adjusts his triple what shipping costs of $17.30 per game to Canada should be.....we'd be totally playing fair
yeah, i really don't want anyone to mention it to him but he could be in some big trouble now. he's got *alot* of things listed, all with no reserve. even if i were interested in Ultima items, i wouldn't know where to begin. he's just got too much running at once. and so many things ending at roughly the same time, it could be a trainwreck of low bids on most of it. what a fool.
i will gladly sell this copy of Times of Lore for a loss once i get it, it looks like it may have helped to tip worldlam's business over the edge.
It's no wonder Worldlam has gone bankrupt more than once. The man is clearly an idiot although not as big an idiot as the person(s) who approved him for credit cards with big limits.
In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.
Btw speaking of ISellGames4U, the title I bought from him more than two months ago still ain't turned up. Strange how he stopped accepting Paypal on his auctions immediately I won this and paid... currently trying to claim my $165 back!
His last post at Lemon 64 was dated June 2 of this year. It's been just over a month now. I've been too busy over the past couple of months with other projects to remember to keep track of his store, so I don't know exactly when it finally tanked.
I think it is safe to say, that will be the last we'll see of him.
