Maybe some more yet to come and if anyone got anything to add feel free to bring it (let me know ahead of time so I can figure out what types of activities the prizes will be awarded for) :D
Hey Brian, would you like to have LOT more more stuff to give away as prizes ?

How about 2 1084 monitors, 10 1541 drives, 5 C64s, 5 C64Cs, 4 C128, one VIC-20 with datasette and 5 Amiga 500s ?

I must get rid of all this in a hurry... and I have no time to test them all but I am quite sure most of it all works just fine.
Wow man! I thought I had electronic packrat issues
If you lived closer I would take you up on the offer (can't resist more stuff) and make it a "retro frenzy event" :D

I could use another monitor for my C64 (have none have to switch with my Vic-20) and a spare C64 for myself (in case this one goes) and another C64 and monitor for my Amiga guy in Toronto :D

Any Amiga 1200's you forgot to mention :D

Cool, this clearly calls for a few more pics :)
Be truthful with you, I've been more of a collector than user

I have great intentions to use my stuff more than I have but my pinball hobby keeps me busy fixing, cleaning and playing :D

Just hit a road block in my 1937 radio restoration as well after changing all the caps and most tubes....that job took a long time away from my Commodores too

Image
Image
In the middle there's 3 tuning sections and a bunch of capacitors behind there that took dissassebly and still a very tight soldering job putting new caps on (and took forever to do)...
Image

The 16 Bit line-up has a new longer table than this now

Image

My next huge project which will be 100+ hours easily will be a full restoration from electronics to cosmetics (including sanding the side body paint off and doing stencil paint job to original specs, playfield restoration of wear areas and backglass restoration) they're in my garage now. I drove 5 hours 1 way with renting a van to get these  :

Image

The 1965 Teacher's Pet still has the backglass to restore but body was repainted by hand (my 1st restro project ever and playfield amzingly done by hand as it was rough)....I have pics for those that attend showing the process of my insanity

Wifey took both the digital camera and movie camera leaving me cameraless to take current pictures and of the event so someone bring a camera!!!!

So as you can see, my interests greatly vary in many directions keeping me away from using my Commodore collection as much as I should but when I do get around to it...it will be lots of stuff to do, learn and share with others :D

If I can help anyone get into one of these hobbies, feel free to ask as I love help

Barrie is approximately 1 hour north of Toronto and it usually takes me about 5-6 hours to drive between Toronto and Montreal so you're looking at about a 6-7 hour journey in total. You might also be able to park in Toronto and carpool up to Barrie with someone although your car might be a little full with all the goodies you listed.
In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.

Then we won't tell you about the 80's "Big Hair" Retro Strippers coming then too

Up here in Barrie they can be still found apparently in the local "men's clubs" anyways so no need for them here to distract my ability to play games

Anyone from Toronto have the Wed or Thurs edition of the Toronto Star Newspaper with an article on Barrie's future development plans in The Business Section they could bring to the event (for my parents to entice a move here for me)???

Centallica, I go through Barrie whenever we go up to my parent's house in Meaford. Since we're coming from Cornwall, we've already been on the road about 5 hours at that point, and are pretty tired, but I gotta met up with you one day!

You're welcome to come visit...just let me know when :D

I just changed my 1.3 ROM on my A500 to 2.04 ROM that came with the machine (never installed and has the 4 disks too) and noticed some rust on the inner shield...I guess this is common for stored units in a damp environment??

I'm gonna look at my other one to see if this is the same and switch if so

Oh....well, you might want to keep one Amiga 500 with the 1.3 ROM. A lot of the old games bang the hardware pretty hard, and will crash with the later ROMs. The later ROMs are better if you are doing productivity work (i.e. wordprocessing, photo manipulation, etc.), but the old ROMs are actually better if all you want to do is play games.

Or you could buy and install a kickstart switcher, which are sometimes sold on Ebay, and switch back and forth between ROMs with the flick of a switch, or a keyboard-combo.

Ya, I was going to do that with my other system for non-working games on the 2.04 but my 2.04 has the disks to boot up too :D

The ROM switcher would be cool and probably not hard to do for some but I don't see them for cheap to buy either

No Amiga 1200s but I do have a pile of Amiga 500s and a pile of Amiga Load Faster SCSI controllers.

A pair of Amiga 1000s too.

Yeah, my main Amiga 500 has one of those so I have both 2.04 and 1.3 installed. I think it cost me $50 back in the day.

Gotta get my Amiga hooked up again sometime soon. My VIC, Gamecube, PET, C128, C64, laptop and desktop PCs are taking up all the available spots in my geek room at the moment... which one should go? :) I think the PET or C-64 are most likely at the moment...

I think you should just get a bigger room and keep them all up :D

Maybe once the multicart project is done we can hint for Eslapion to make us a dual rom switcher :?

Can't be that hard or expensive?

This is all making me realize I've got to get busy finishing my retro 80's themed basement. My basement is pretty much finished (ceiling, lighting, walls, floor), I have the basic elements (huge collection of 80's music, Atari 2600 system with paddles, joysticks, and 17 games, Vic 20 system), but I really need to tie it all together. Someone mentioned wood paneling to me before; but to me, that's more 60's and 70's. The 80's were all about flat pastels and drywall. I also really ought to source and mount some retro 80's posters, and get busy building that arcade machine.

Aye, pretty lofty goals for a guy who still doesn't have a datasette for his Vic, eh?

Ya, I had thought of doing a 80's themed basement too but it's only partially finished right now

When you get it done, we'll have the next retro party at your place

Actually, all of this was donated to me 2 days ago...

I also forgot to mention, this pile includes a 1750 ram expansion unit... it is not the one I am advertising on eBay right now, it does not have the power supply, manual, disk and box... but it is essentially free.
