Galaxy attack by Impact Software (K. Lawrence of 70 Redford Avenue Edinburgh EH13 0BW)

I wonder if he is still around. Basic Black and White tape inlay with odd space scene on front.

Great little 3.5k Galaxian type game, expanded screen. Nice difficulty and different Aliens on wave 1 & 2 on the quick go I had.

Sound is a bit basic but gameplay was very good with fast moving aliens and multiple swoopers. Smooth controls.

Archived on Arma's but a nice game to find for my collection.

Is there a year mentioned on the inlay or tape? Missing that in GB20...

There is no date on the inlay or in the code of the basic loader.

Star Trek 16k also by Impact has a date in the code of 26/7/82 so I would estimate the year as 1982 by this and the basic b&w label and typed cassette label.

Both are on Arma's.

Ah yes... I've often done that with games, load them up and list to see if there are any REM statements ;)

Great find! Please let us know what's in it. How is this related to the VIC content-wise?

Just won it in a bid and it's in the mail but I'll be happy to scan it in as a PDF when it arrives so you guys can enjoy. I'm hoping it also has a type in program that might have otherwise been...Time Lost. ;)

I'm guessing it is kind of like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEDWX:IT

...where the kid with the computer is somehow pulled in to the story and forced to use his VIC-20 to survive! :)

But the description promises more:
TIMELOST is the first book in a new unique series of integrated comic adventures and computer action games.

A teenage computer whiz and his young sister are swept through Time Holes and meet attacking Warbirds of the past, a mysterious man from the future, and a sinister Time Wizard.
The only link I've found so far is an old post from 5 years ago here, in fact - it was listed in a 3-post-member's book collection: http://www.sleepingelephant.com/ipw-web ... b6d95c03b9

Just need to make some space now so it has a permanent place to live next to the TV.

Not sure if I've actually posted something in this thread about getting games yet... anyhow, here's some new additions from our favourite publisher, ALA Software... more for the GB20 pile!

Great find! It reminds me a bit of Micro Adventure.
