At least in Emulation the F6 "FE3 Utilities" doesn't contain this option.

Reflash firmware wipes the flash at the moment. then reload.
Backup and selective restore coming later.

Ah, ok I suspected it but I cannot simulate a reflash on Emulation due SD2IEC emulation lack right ?
I may simply replace the bin file but is not like the orginal hardware
btw I got a lot of FLASH ERROR in my emulation tests but I don't know if is an hardware/firmware or emulation problem so I need real hardware for my tests
Have you fixed my board ?

Bumping this thread just to say that I found someone who will help me assembling the FE3- so I think I'm going to buy the kit, as soon as the shop opens (should be
early Nov, right?).

I wish I could buy ready cartridge somewere, I just cant do that myself..

With how cheap you can get boards made fully assembled, there is really no reason NOT to offer them complete.
Imagine how few 64NIC+ we would have sold had we required you to assemble them.

@dragos - I guess there's an issue about selling assembled electronics in the EC (Diddl can tell more).

As I understand, the design is or will be made public. It means anyone outside of Germany can get their own custom printed boards, grab sets of components and assemble expansions. Clearly it is not feasible for a private person to build and sell ready-made electronics from Germany anymore, due to laws and regulations.

Yes, it is open design and open source code.
Only the PCB design is not open for now, cause Nils had tooling costs and he must sell a certain quantity to otherwise he had to pay this costs himself.
But after some time he will make PCB design public also.

Yes. EU laws makes it difficult for a private person to sell assembled kits.
But it is very easy to assemble a kit if you can solder (no small parts, only DIL). Even I soldered my kit myself and I am no hardware freak but a software one.

Does this have to do with RoHS? Cripes, Germany... what a way to ruin a cottage industry!
Note: I know that other countries do things that are at least equally stupid all the time.

Honestly I don't know if other countries in the European Union follow the same regulations. Perhaps they don't do today but will in the future. Bah for all this recycling junk and environmental thinking. If we have survived several thousand years without paying much attention to recycling, why do we need to start now?

....because population count of people not recycling is not sustainable.
Not so bad in Sweden with low population density maybe.
on a more serious note ...are you saying we should not recycle Vic20's and just throw them away
