Re: UltiMem
Would you mind to provide some manual, please? Like some one page README as a quick reference with things summed up?
Writes to the flash memory don't really wear it out, or does it?

Re: UltiMem
I can probably open them now. Boards are at the assembly house, but I have them finishing VIC-MIDI first. I assume I'll have boards in hand by April 1. I have already bought and shipped all of the parts needed.
But, it probably won't be until this weekend.

Declaring interest too
Re: UltiMem
I would like one as well.
Re: UltiMem
I am holding off putting the order page up on store.go4retro.com until the units are actually being assembled, but it will be soon.
The project did suffer a small setback as the PCBA house found the boards were a bit wrong:
If you notice on the left side, the far left IC pads are covered by soldermask. It was a poblem with the original gerber, but we found it before the PCBS were created. The house assured us they would open the pads, but did not. So, they are getting re-done at no cost, but there is a time delay (about 10 days).
Still, no big deal, just some lost time. The Gerber files have been fixed so the problem is no longer.
It does mean I will have some "scratch and dent" boards for those interested in getting a PCB on the cheap.

Re: UltiMem
I think a dremel with a small wire wheel and two swipes over the board is probably the fastest/easiest, but I'll let folks who snag the boards (I'll stuff them int eh store or give them away as freebies) figure it outeslapion wrote:@brain
Ouch! I'm not even sure acetone will take that off.

@brain
In 2008-2009, I was doing business with a Montreal PCB fab who did similar errors with some of my boards.
It caused my REU project to fail and many errors to fix manually on my 1st gen. of boards for the Behr-Bonz and Ultimate Expander.
I must not have been the only one to whom they caused this sort of problems because they are out of business now.
