My VIC has come – without the cable for power supply. This is putting me into the very embarrassing position to say that the release date is looking bad.

Am asking myself how much weed one's got to smoke to forget about checking if the cables fit. :(

If I can't make it till the 15th, and I think that's very much what's gonna happen, I'll send everyone who ordered Pulse the Arukanoido tape release at my expense.

I'm very upset with the situation – am not really myself at the moment – especially as it has cost me several weeks of sleepless nights to keep everything on track against a bunch of other unfathomable crap that comes up in life, because most people just don't give a **** about others really.

Hey just relax - we are all retrodudes, no worries at all. It's done when it's done no fuzz about that 8)
Kind regards, Peter.

Phew! Thanks. You make me feel a little bit better. Back to the positive side of things. Somebody wants to dump a trunk full of retro hardware at my place right before Christmas. There is no such thing like coincidence…

If you're been a good boy, Santa will bring it! So I'm told... :?

Problem solved: got a C64 with integrated SD2IEC (so the datassette can also get connected) and a 512K GEORAM expansion. :D Now for my first C64 program to write the tapes.

Do you record the tapes one by one in "real time"?

Wouldn't a unit like this one

http://www.ebay.de/itm/TELEX-Copyette-1 ... 2229643528

speed up the process?

I think there are only about 20 or so to do. Also direct from source will better quality

The manosoft princess would be ideal here too as they can write .tap files from SD straight to the datasette. Cost is about 80 euro though.

Well, the VIC seems to work now. Am having funny problems with the kernal routines otherwise I'd just have written the first tape.

The C64 is yodeling wobbly stuff onto tape. It's a scary machine. Disabling half of it and doing a timer based clock slide should nail it down (I hope). All it probably takes is another nervous breakdown to gain some final enlightenment. Although others were able to make proper tapes I don't even get the primary loader detected. Many people would probably grab the whole pile, throw it out of the window and watch porn instead but I keep holding on to the challenge…
