My User Name is a combination of Turrican (one of my favourite games) and Dan (my first name). I've returned to the Vic 20 scene after 20+ years absence and I'm very glad to be back :)

My name Vic 2000 was kind of...

- Hmm, i'll better come up with something that has to do with Vic-20. Well, it's a new millennium and it's still Vic-20. I know...Vic 2000.

It could have been a lot worse using names such...

ZX Spectrum Fanatic
Atari ST Fan
Vic-20 sucks
C64 toaster
16k isn't enough

or even

NES rulez :P

For a real naive nick i could have used.

Turtles Fan

My real name is Christer Johansson and i'm from south of Sweden. I bought my Vic-20 late 1982 or early 1983 and was a Vic-20 owner until 1985 when i bought my next computer, Atari 800 XL for half the price from swedish telecom. I have owned lots of computers and consoles through the years from Fairchild Channel F, Magnavox Odyssey II, Vic-20, Atari 800 XL, Atari ST, Amiga, SNES, Sega Genesis, Gameboy, Playstation, Sega Saturn or Nintendo 64 for exemple.

And still...i love Vic-20. ;) :)

Today i own a modern multicore PC and run all those computers and consoles using emulators.

Hi, I'm Chris. My user name is based on my first computer that I owned, the C16. But I've now got a Vic added to my collection and really love it.

I choosed GroovyDrifter when I joined a large spanish BMW owners forum I used to moderate... and you can imagine why............... no you can't.

It is Groovy in the sense of marvelous and Drifter in the sense of floating thing, so it is "The marvelous floating thing" that means yeah, I'm fat.

Hi everyone, just thought I would join this forum as I am about to purchase my first Vic 20!

My first computer was a Commodore 64! so I missed out on the Vic, had a number of Commodore computers after that including C128 and Amiga, but was always curious about the Vic 20!

I am a collector of all things Commodore hence the username (very boring I know), but also very apt! :)

Will be posting a question in the games area shortly as need some advice!

This is a contraction between "magic" and "Eric".

Mine is simple a contraction of my real name and surname(s) I've been using since 20 years or more.

Hello I am R'zo.
I have been known throughout the past by many of my friends as Rat Boy or The Rat. I have been called this for many reasons. I tend to collect things that others see as junk like a pack rat, I was born on the Chinese year of the rat, I love cheese, I am good at squeezing through small spaces, my hair is very curly and when it gets long it tends to "rat up"... to name a few.(no I have never been an informant:). Now I am also a huge Jim Henson fan and Rhizzo is the name of the rat from the Muppets. As a musician I decided I needed a good "hip" stage name so taking after R'za I shortened Rhizzo to R'zo and that is how I came up with my user name. I recently purchased a vic with a collection of around 25 games. I do not have it running yet, I plan on being able to get to making the power supply and A/V cables next month. I also plan on making a lot of music and writing many of programs and games once Vic is functional. I have been practicing with The vic emulator from VICE. I am new to programming and have been teaching myself with the Vic and having a lot of fun. I love that "user friendly" on the box refers to a computer that is simple to program as oppose to the modern day meaning of you don't have to know anything about your machine it will do all the work for you.
I am excited to be a new member to this group and to finally find a forum devoted exclusively devoted to the Vic. I am sure that I will have many questions as well as contributions to post in the future.

Much Love
R'zo
