Help me out. I'm trying to put together a current list of modern day peripherals for sale (assembled). These are devices that are currently for sale as of 2010/11/10. These could be new clones of old hardware or entirely new creations.
I want to set aside "kits" and things you solder, because if you saw my skills you would agree. I was hoping to also set aside all of the X1541-type cables for the moment and just focus on other ready-made peripherals that will work with a VIC-20 that are of a printed circuit board / IC nature.
The list below is what I know of so far. The web URLs are just a research starting point, because in some cases there maybe other vendors competing in the same category. What am I missing????

1541 Ultimate-II. Made for the C64 and C128, but works very well in stand-alone mode with the VIC 20. At least the original 1541 Ultimate does; I don't own a 1541 Ultimate-II but there has apparently been some problems getting standalone mode to work but the developer is working on it.

Maybe Final Expansion3 (now sold by Retro-Donald) should deserve its own place? It has several features other than SD2IEC..rmelick wrote:All of the IEC projects surrounding SD memory, like: MMC2IEC, SD2IEC, and uIEC

I didn't know there was any problems, unless the problem is that no time at all has been spent on making a stand-alone mode yet. It's planned though, I'm looking forward to using it with my VIC when it's done.
If you use the C64 and VIC parallel you can of course load anything you like with the tape adapter or IEC connected to the VIC instead. (Tape adapters haven't been delivered yet though).
For anyone that wants an Ultimate right away I'm sorry to say there's currently over 300 people waiting because there's a shortage of FPGAs, last I heard about it was that Gideon hopes that these will be done in time for Christmas. So any new purchases will probably not be delivered until next year.
