Xpander-3 for VIC-20 Interest?
I'm happy to modify this design for VIC-20 usage:

If there is enough interest. I think I need 20-30 pre-sales to justify a run. Reply if interested. I can probably tack RAM into the design if there is interest.

More new Hardware for the Vic, great!
I'd say RAM is not necessary, because you could put a MegaCart or FE3 into one of the slots (or both
). I don't know though, if it is at all possible to use one of these cards parallel to others.
You certainly know the specs of the PSU better, but is it safe to use three carts in parallel (and perhaps something on the user port) without overloading the C= PSU?

I would be interested but am not sure how much use I will get from it with FE3 covering most of my needs just now.
Jim, can you paint a picture of some usage scenarios to make it a compelling purchase?

Pedro,
that was my thinking to start with, then I asked myself why would I want to? and how would it work with 2 menus? I guess you could boot the dominant cart and set up ram and then boot up the second one but it seems pretty pointless.
That is why I asked Jim to explain some uses.
I guess it would be useful for plugging in Monitor and ram carts but other than that I am not clear yet.

Jim, what would that do for me? Please can you explain a bit more. Thanks.brain wrote:I don't have either cart, so I can;t test here. I think testing is the best option. Maybe someone with both can try it and relate the results.
As for uses, I was thinking about folks who want to use a NIC (64NIC+ + Mac=uerade) in the VIC along with a FE3 or MC or something else.
