Excuse a stupid question, but you did run the program before you call the SYS? If the screen is cleared, it sounds like you encountered a BRK statement (decimal 0), maybe because the memory area is uninitailized. Another explanation would be if the Kernal or the jump table somehow is damaged so it points into void, but it would be a very long shot.
Ok Anders I think Ive got it. How now do I run the resulting 33 block file to test it if it is the real deal? I tried loading it in with block 5 ram enabled on my ram expander and then warm starting and cold starting but nothing brings it up. Help me im clueless. Thanks
Alright I figured it out. Turns out the game will overwrite block 5 if is isnt write protected after the game is loaded. The image I made seems to work fine! Yipeee!!. Thanks for your help Anders

Report? I already gave a mini report/review. Mayhem can take it further after he gets a copy. Ill be posting the image file soon here so all can try it out.
What I wonder if the tape version plays identically to the cartridge (and maybe contains identical code except for the loader/boot).
I still wonder about the modified Kernel. If one installs Nicolas' RAM/ROM board, it has room for four (five?) system ROM sets. One of those could be a version that disregards auto-starting cartridges, and then there would not be any need for a multi-cart expander or other tricks to access the cartridge without booting it. On the other hand, close to all known (commercially available) cartridges have already been archived, so the use would be a bit limited.
Someone posted earlier in this thread that he bought a sealed tape copy on eBay, and you asked if he could make a TAP, which I still think is a bit difficult if the seal should not be broken.
Ok, I revived this old thread just to voice my discontent with the game. Has anyone ever made it to the 3rd level or beyond? I would love to just see all of the screen or know how many levels there are, but the game is so impossibly hard for me!
