I have a Star Defence tape, this one shows the other Star Defender version in clamshell and a description of it changing shortly after release.

Smack of change to avoid copyright to me.

Heh... well it was a "unsubtle" hint that Bo might be able to provide such information ;)

I've been playing Mission Mercury for long, too when I was young but i couldn't get the score oh the game...  Nowadays I think my favourite one is Frogger'07 and Tetris+ on real vic, I think they're really amazing, perhaps the best arcade conversion ever

If you like arcade games like me, try also quikman a very nice Pac-Man conversion by rhurst, you will find it on your Mega-Cart too

I like Battlezone on MegaCart. It is truly 3D and close to the arcade game. Abstract battle field in a SciFi world.

Another amazing discovery on MegaCart for me is Shamus.

I agree with Empa Kendo, Battlezone is great on the VIC. Choplifter is another arcade which should deserve more than a try.

You're right Nbla000, it was only that i forgot it!! that's a really great conversion (muuuuuch better than original pacman, that needed 16K)... I loved choplifter too: smooth, and well drawn and did an excellent use of hires graphic, the thing that made spectrum conversion to be possible... let's think about that guys!!!

You might give Jelly Monsters a whirl as well. This is another Pacman clone that you can find in the cartridge section of the Mega Cart.

Also, you haven't lived until you've played Centipede.

KAYLON! I just figured it out. Mission Mercury is Kaylon, the unexpanded BASIC game release, I believe, by Compute (as Decent to Kaylon? December 1984). Same game essentially. What's the date on Mission Mercury?

I tried to google for side by side screen shots, but apparently it's some stupid celeb's name too! hahaha.

I never got to play Lunar Rescue because it's in multiple parts. I couldn't figure out how to get it to run correctly on VICE or a real VIC.

Use a Final Expansion and you can simply configure two or more files to load and easy execute in future.

For use in Vice you can append files to one file and laod as 16K Cartridge. TLR wrote it is also possible to load two cartridge files in Vice (XVIC) as generous cartridge if files have a startaddress.

Just copy required files in a d64 image or a real floppy in this order:
Lunar Rescue
zzlr1.prg
zzlr2.prg
zzlr3.prg

It works on drive 8 and with a Vic+8K, nothing else.
Mega-Cart: the cartridge you plug in once and for all.
