Uhm... VICE? ;) You'd stop the program and then enter LIST to show the program.

There are some *.prg to ASCII converters around. However, printing out the program, and then re-typing it into the VIC-20 is a quite cumbersome, and error-prone process. And more or less restricted to pure BASIC programs.

In most cases, *.prg (or for that matter, *.d64) files either are copied to a disc using the 1541 connected to the PC via a X1541 cable. Or with SD2IEC or uIEC/SD, which take SD cards written on the PC, and are attached via the serial cable to the VIC-20 and act as floppy drive.

Greetings,

Ahh Thanks Mike,

That has cleared up all i wanted to know :D

Stop the game and type List ..Oh that takes me back to my 1st VIC-20 in the 80's..The amount of games i messed about with

Ok,looks like the SD cable is he best option..will go with that one!

Many thanks!
Best wishes Mike

A very nice idea, link.

I just came across this on YOUTUBE.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecxADZwybfE

Some guy is saying you can use some pc software called
"audio Tap"
Running a cable from the pc's Audio out to a tape recorder
and record the converted .Tap file.

On the Youtube video scroll to time 8.09
It explains There.

What you think of this?
