Toni Westbrook, developer of Shredz64 (the C64 adaptation of Guitar Hero) and its accompanying PSX64 interface, is gearing up to sell! He already has built a few of the PSX64 adapters and has sold those to a few people who are doing the beta testing. He is now placing a big order with DigiKey for the parts to build more PSX64 adapters and hopes to have at least 30-50 done in order to start selling next month and at the December World of Commodore.

Not yet, though Toni says that with the bigger DigiKey order and the resultant lower cost of parts through such an order, he will be able to reduce the price on the completed units.jbuonacc wrote:any idea on the price?

I think this is great for the C64!
As an aside, I finally got a chance to see Guitar Hero being played (my nephew brought over a Wii). I was astonished to see how simple the game really was. I guess I was expecting more of an in-depth rock star simulation or something, considering the hype. Take away all the fancy graphics and music and it's really "The Sky is Falling" for the VIC-20 all over!

I'm on the pre-order list, but who knows how long that list is, what with all the hype it has been given by media all over?ral-clan wrote:I think this is great for the C64!

I wonder if Toni can do a version of Guitar Hero for the VIC-20.ral-clan wrote: As an aside, I finally got a chance to see Guitar Hero being played (my nephew brought over a Wii).
