My collection, in pictures

Post by yoyodyne »

I took and uploaded some photos of my collection tonight. It is
not complete, but I hit the high points.

I really would like to have stuff on a home page of my own, but
I wind up not having the time to maintain it properly. I will most
likely put links on a home page pointing to these photo albums.
Plus, my isp does not give me much online storage space.

I like the 'webshots' photo hosting site. It is super easy
to upload and manage your photos. They host 1100 photos for
you for free. I am not really sure what their angle is, they
must hope you will pay them to print some out and mail them
to you. Also, when I registered, they did not require so much
of my personal info. Another site I tried to use wanted more
info than I was comfortable giving them.
If you document it, its not a bug, its a feature.

The Apple IIc was always my favourite Apple computer. Unfortunately, it was always priced well beyond my means, so I never got a chance to get to know it. Yours looks very well kept.

Cool; I'd love to have the briefcase type thing for my Model 100s. It's an official Tandy/Radio Shack product?

No, its a case that they threw away at work. It held some equipment
that is long gone, but holds the Model 100 items just
perfectly! Radio Shack did make a hard case for the Model 100
I think, though.

DigitalQuirk: Apple items are getting cheaper, I picked up
my boxed IIc pretty reasonable. At one time I had a
IIc+, but the 3.5" drive made it hard to transfer my older
dos 3.3 files, and I got tired of having to hook up an
external drive to it, so I sold it on ebay years ago. I think
it went to France, if I remember right.

Thanks everybody, for the kind comments. I utilize the books
alot, and they are a valuable part of my collection. I need to
get a list together, I even have a German book in my collection, and
a copy of 64'er magazine I picked up in Germany in 1985!

I love old computer books too. What's the story of the black VIC? I've seen pictures, but what is it?

Hi Iltanen,
It's just a Commodore 16 case with some mods to accept the
bigger Vic cartridges, and has a Vic motherboard and
keyboard installed. I've added an extra 16k memory inside also.
