Hello VIC fans!
Can anyone point me in the right direction to tracking down a .TAP file of the original "Skramble!" by Rabbit Software.
I spent a few hours at the weekend adding my VIC collection into Launchbox and booting up some old favourites.
One of the games I still own (and treasure) is my cassette copy of "Skramble!" by Rabbit Software. However, the version I have for the xVIC emulator is different.
The original version has a ship that looks like the ">" symbol and the 'terrain' texture is Black.
Also looking for Rabbit's "Nightcrawler" as well.
Through contacts I have in the UK games industry, I was told that the guy who founded Rabbit killed himself by jumping off a building.
The first three games I had for my VIC were "Myriad" "Nightcrawler" and "Skramble!" - all of which I played to death.
(the fact I am still booting them now 40-odd years later is testament to the effect they had!)
If anyone could help me, I would be most grateful!.
Alex

Rabbit's Skramble has yellow terrain. It's Terminal Software's version that has black terrain. However they are both by Reg Stevens which is where the confusion may lie.

Re: Original Rabbit Software "Skramble!"
Thanks for the assistance so far.
The .tap file suggested isn't the one I have. ( will dig out the box but it's in storage somewhere)
The version I had - had a different looking 'player ship' -
This video shows it:

Can anyone provide a link to THIS one?
I came very close to finishing it once, but in the excitement of trying to call my Mum upstairs - I crashed very close to the end. Which was a V shape descent into the ground IIRC....
And it's definitely Rabbit "Skramble!" - their red and white cassette artwork really stood out at the time.
I had no idea it was re-released by Terminal as well.

As noted. and the inlay at the start of the video, that's the Terminal Software version. It's in GB20 too and elsewhere.

Re: Original Rabbit Software "Skramble!"
So I have a cassette of it.
It's what you call 'the Terminal Software version"
It has the different ship. And the black terrain.
But my cassette pre-dates that - and it was published by Rabbit.
Where can I find the file for that version?
What's GB20? (sorry don't keep up to date due to being full time on a PlayStation5 game right now)

Very cool, have never seen that! Could you make a .tap of it?
Would be very interesting to see how it differs from the other two versions.
