Re: Not quite... The end of the ROM based PLA for the 64
Yes that is what PCBWay offer , pushes the price from $5 to $39 for 1um of dipped gold coating. more for 2 or 3um.
I will admit that is not bad if you buy 10 boards rather than five as it costs no more for ten as opposed to five!!
( plus delivery of course! )
I have noticed that with PCBWay if you leave it at five boards it is $5 if you select ten boards it is still $5 ?????
That works with enig as well so ten boards cost $39 + post !!!!!!
2um $62 and 3um $86.

Check JLCPCB for ENIG. Much better price AFAIK. Minimum quantity is 5 units.
Be normal.

IMHO, If you're going to have a PCB destined to be inserted in a female edge connector then having gold on the contact fingers matters far more than the color you choose. They could be Barney the Bear's fluorescent pink for all I care.
Be normal.

Yes that is true , however , just pointing out that PCBWay is cheaper for certain colors!

yes , i did spot it . It looks very nice but i am afraid that i am not much of an artist , more a functional type of person.
Got myself that HP 54601A. does not seem as good as the tektronix or the hameg but i will have to see how it performs. It is 4 channel , digital and with storage and 100mhz so it should do the job!
The 16 channel 100mhz logic analyzer has arrived as well ! I think that if it performs to spec it might be the better option. I know it won't show the glitches as good , if at all but it is the timing i am looking for.

Hi eslapion & levoman,
No matter if you not an artist in the graphical sense.
Looks like a very nice oscilloscope you have there levoman. Much more modern than mine, plus 4 channels no less!
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/ ... -teardown/
What did it cost you all up?
Gee, I love how the auto calibration button on digital oscilloscopes saves me. I can really make a mess twirling the dials and pushing all the buttons nonsensically, Ha!
I've sent off a message to Bella at PCB-way asking the different price points on Gold plating of boards. Hopefully, she will be able to give us a clearer picture on costs.
I should check the prices on the competitors sites........

Hi levoman,
WOW! That's a great price, good buy....
Have you got any pictures of the glitch on. A dodgy PLA?
