Denial

I will be selling a VIC-1903 Rally-X cartridge for the VIC-20 / VIC-1001. This is an extremely hard to find item that was only sold in Japan. But before I list it on eBay, I thought I'd open it up to forum members who might offer something interesting to trade.

If you have an equally uncommon item for the VIC-20, C64, or other Commodore machine that you would like to trade, please let me know. I might also be willing to trade for dollars, Euros, etc.

If not, I will be listing the cartridge on eBay on Thursday and I'll post the link in this thread.

I would have loved to get an opportunity to scan the instructions and box before this is auctioned...

I have the game on Mega-Cart, though; about as arcade perfect as you could possibly expect from the VIC. Great game and great collectable for the person who can afford it.

It's also present on the Behr-Bonz. Since Commodore had legal trouble with this game, they re-incarnated it in the form of Radar Rat Race but the jingle in RRR makes you want to turn the sound off.

Is there a PAL ROM image of Rally-X? I don't seem to be able to find one but it is mentioned here

The only PAL ones I find say they are Rally-X on the web sites and the file name but when you try them it's Radar Rat Race but with Rally-X written on the title screen. Since Japan is NTSC I have my doubts that a real PAL version exists. I found that file you are referring to from the Lemon reference and It's Radar Rat Race also.

There won't be a natural PAL version because the game was only released in Japan.

I realise that but I wondered if only the screen position needs tweaking if someone had patched it.

Isn't the Mega-Cart version already fixed?

SInce I patched it for the Behr-Bonz, I can tell you only the screen position requires tweaking.
