I would like to extract a few roms and save them as separate files, any ideas how to do this?

Locate start and and of 2k 4k or 8k blocks of code and save in a monitor environment?

I like my JiffyDOS - just made a timed extraction: 10:49 mins. Started without JiffyDOS and yes, it's really a lot slower. Final time: 35:08 mins

What were you searching for? The words "Mega-Cart" and "dumper" appear in both the subject and multiple posts so regardless of whether you searched for posts or topics, this should have been the first result. Please let me know what you were searching for I can figure out if something is broken. Thanks.
In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.

I searched for megacart as this is used in many threads. mega-cart is not found when you do this so I added my post with some key words.

I'm just gonna guess here, but, did you put the "mega-extract.prg" into a d64 and then mount the d64?

If I'm right then your d64 is getting full before the dumping process has finished.

Try putting "mega-extract.prg" into a folder on your SD card then load/run it from there.

I have made a new dir and put the loose megaextract prg in that dir.

But i can only load or run the file, when i do that the c64 tries to load it.

I tried to connect the 1541U in standalone to the vic20 but then i cannot access the 1541U as far as i know.

And i checked the d64 i used earlier, indeed it tries to save the rom to the d64.

I have also tried to remove the d64 after mounting and loading it on the vic,,,,but then the dumping fails immediately.

I have also tried mounting and loading the d64 with dev 8 and after that changing it to device 9 on the 1541U, still no difference.

Btw, the dumping only starts when i exit the 1541U main menu.

That's odd., but I've seen this behavior myself I had issues with what was described as "tolerances" with a 2nd drive attached. I finally used a solo 1581 drive to do the dump in chunks. I've been meaning to dump the latest revision I have in my 2nd Mega-Cart, just haven't touched any real C= hardware in 2-years!

If you need a copy, my first dump of an earlier version can be found here: http://robert.hurst-ri.us/downloads/
