I had a 9" or 10" B&W TV with the two dials for tuning VHF & UHF channels. Sometimes I miss those days! :wink:

A1000 keyboards are uncommon these days... Commodore had a marketing campaign in the late 80's or early 90's where you could send in your A1000 keyboard and get a discount off of a new A2000, so there were several A1000's out there missing the keyboard over the years. My son has a silver label VIC-20 which, I believe, is the first year of production. Can anyone confirm this?

8-bit Commodore guru and all around good guy Ray Carlsen can mod your monitor port to do it.

There is also a user on this forum who makes a drop-in upgrade if you want to leave your monitor port stock.
