Pretty sure he's wrong. I had a 5-pin DIN to audio/video/luma/chroma combo cable that I used on both my C64C and my VIC-20, plugged directly into my TV's video-in port. If it's a 5-pin and was made correctly, there shouldn't be any problem. If the following cable is what you mean, and it is five-pin...

Follow-up from Roger Ebert. I did a reply in the Neatorama comments, basically just restating what I wrote here.

Last post, sorry. :-D So while many games perhaps aren't art and probably aren't intended to be, that doesn't mean that games can't be art. Some conceptual art is wholly participatory. Games can be a type of concept art; having a computer as the platform doesn't necessarily invalidate the entire con...

There's no one definition of art that's going to satisfy everyone anyway, so it's kind of a moot point. The general consensus on art seems to resemble rhurst's description: the purposeful personal expression of an idea with the intent of provoking a response. Whether something is good art or bad art...

If so, these are pretty easy... either a standard monitor cable with a separate adapter, or an all-in-one cable: http://radagast.bglug.ca/C64_svideo/C64_Svideo.html http://sta.c64.org/cbmsvideo.html Or you could buy a cable from Protovision in Germany (tell them I referred...

I've heard of this before (and have seen it with a few games whose names I don't remember). Here's something you might find interesting:
