The lost VIC-20 drifter -- living in denial
Hiding from the future, dreaming of the past

Are there any customs charges involved with delivery to the UK?

I was reading about a similar item on another forum (non-computer-related), and they were talking about additional costs added to expensive goods imported from foreign countries (for tax reasons).

Anyone here had any problems with this?

The VICE team could probably take a leaf out of Steem's book. This is a very complex emulator (on a par with United Arab Emirates), but detailed guidance for ST beginners is provided every step of the way. The standard of emulation for the Atari systems is very good. Having said this, one of the thi...

I'm tempted to make an offer of $99.95 just for a joke.

Incidentally, the You Tube video is not a sure-fire guarantee that the VIC is in full working order. I have a VIC that works fine for about 10-15 mins and then the power goes off.

I took the liberty of suggesting he add links to Denial and VICE. Lemon seems to be missing as well.

Retro System Resources

Someone on Atari Forum is compiling a list of all the different forums and emulators available for retro systems.

Looks like it will be a really useful reference point.

I know a game that someone could port or adapt to the VIC for this competition. It's called Duck Dash; an ST homebrew I found on a magazine disk circa 1992. http://www.atarilegend.com/games/games_detail.php?game_id=1626 You can download the Steem Engine (ST emulator) at the following link: http://st...

Do you configure the VIC settings for the type of game you want to play (i.e. a 16K ROM image would require the 16K setting -- same goes for 3K, 8K, 32K etc.). You may also find that some games require true drive emulation (available in the options menu) in order to run properly.
