All I can add is that Ladbroke's is a legitimate betting franchise in the UK (for placing bets on sports, etc.). It's still around:

Re: Anyone got PETSCII ROBOTS working on a real VIC-20?
[...] Also make sure to enable full 35K, this is most likely the cause for the crash. ... and, while doing so, please use a known working combination of one of your VIC-20s and RAM expansions capable of providing +3 5 K! You posted about issues with that particular configuration already in 2018, se...

Re: Anyone got PETSCII ROBOTS working on a real VIC-20?
I tried this a little bit today, what I found out is: - the game NEEDS to be loaded from drive #8. It seems hardcoded to load the other parts from that device number. - I connected a second drive with #8, having the original uIEC set to #9. I then switched the original drive to #10 and the uIEC to ...

Anyone got PETSCII ROBOTS working on a real VIC-20?
Hi, I just bought the 8-bit guy's game "Attack of the PETSCII Robots" and can get it running in VICE, but cannot get it to run on my real VIC-20. Has anyone else had luck running this game on a real VIC-20? https://www.the8bitguy.com/product/petscii-robots/ I have used both the Mega-Cart a...

Oh my gosh! One of my favourite C64 games on the VIC-20! I never would have thought it possible!

Re: A New Competition - preliminary discussion
What is this a competition for exactly? You don't say. I assumed it's a programming competition, because most VIC-20 / C64 competitions are. But then I thought about the possibility of art/music done with already programmed VIC-20 applications, so I thought I'd better ask. There's also the possibili...

This thread feels like it was written for me! I've wanted to learn machine language on the VIC for....well, ever since I first heard about it (1980?)!

When you say unreleased do you mean you've programmed this, but not released it yet, or it's an unreleased Atari prototype?

Re: Letters on Tape(Or Disk)
A bit of a tangent: I'm surprised there was never a version SpeedScript for the PET like there was for almost every other in the 8-bit line. Seems like with its nice crisp monitor, 80 columns (on the 8000 models), good RAM availability and nice keyboard it would have been a fine match. Also, I'm sur...

Re: CR Badge on a 2-Prong VIC?
My thought, having been exposed to Commodore hardware for 40 years, is that they often mixed and matched pieces they had on-hand in the factory, especially when ending one run of parts and starting another. So the motherboard may have been a left over from the earlier line, when they switched to the...

Re: *ALL PHYSICAL COPIES ARE SOLD OUT*: REALMS OF QUEST V (Digital version is available)
I finished it. I had to draw out all the maps by hand.
It was a very good game. The only thing that was a little tedious was that the dungeon view only shows three squares ahead, and there is no compass indicator, which makes mapping rather tedious. However, that those issues have been fixed.

Re: *ALL PHYSICAL COPIES ARE SOLD OUT*: REALMS OF QUEST V (Digital version is available)
Oh my gosh! That spell would have been so helpful when I was playing the game. I suppose I can use it as a point of pride I completed the game before this was implemented - but I think it's a good feature as it can remove some of the monotony and frustration from dungeon exploration, since you can o...
