Another 4k of source (+400-bytes to the PRG) ... this time, just a sample of its fire power along with some code cleanups.

FYI, this game is also already configured to use a real working example of having multiple sprite banks (>8 active sprites on any given frame update).

Glad you like ... your comment about BSG inspired me to make a viper fly-by in its new intro screen. New binaries created for your viewing pleasure.

the info on the potentiometers is posted in this very thread HOLY COWABUNGA!!  8) I re-read this entire thread, and found the two pots it refers to. I had to continue to tweak both for all these color combinations, until each came through without skewing the picture any: poke 36879,8 ...

I have a VIC 20 hooked up to a rather "mint" (if you can call it that) Commodore 1702 monitor -- using the A/V inputs upfront and throwing the switch in the back to use those front ports. Anyways, the picture comes through nicely with my homebrew cable, with the exception of Black and Whit...

Especially when it's broken, or even in poor condition, i.e., missing keycaps, sticky switches, marring, etc. I just love getting price quotes based on what eBay auctions are priced at for "buy-it-now" Yeah, but look at this auction ... I am  to see it jump to such a figure, regardl...

1982, and turned 17 later that year. I was destined to write Dark Tower for some micro computer at the time, having learned BASIC at my high school's computer math course.

the demo looks impressive Thanks, although it was a result of using it to test the API to begin with. Its coding is very unclean, but serviceable. Speaking of unclean, I updated the VIC-SSS zip archive once again, cleaning up the following fluff: - moved demo parts to a demo subfolder with its own ...

No worries... I think I am just getting (old and) cranky -- and I think it's because I want to be spending more time writing Omega Fury than anything else! :P Mike, love the feedback and the motivation -- keep it coming. because I have been conquered by the Thargoids, so my hull plating got thicker....

I updated the VIC-SSS.zip archive to include a "primer", so it is a much larger download than before (>600K). This primer is described in the updated PDF, but it essentially is a subfolder with templates and a brief SAMPLE for making binaries to: - load from BASIC using 3K only memory expa...
