Wunda Walter - Interceptor Micros 1984 - [+16K] - better dump
I remember this game being reviewed, I think it was in Your Computer magazine, and it was probably one of the last times that magazine reviewed VIC20 games. I never owned this one BITD, I had already moved on, but it looked interesting from the screen shots. There was a PRG dump of this a while back...

Space Escort - Romik 1983 - fixed for disk
Another Romik game for the unexpanded VIC20,
This one is the sequel to Space Fortress.

Jetpac - fixed for NTSC
One of my personal favourite VIC20 games - the noisy, colourful and frantic Jetpac.
I think the VIC version is the best, better than the Spectrum and BBC releases, but I couldn't find an NTSC friendly version.
So here it is, patched to detect PAL or NTSC and adjust accordingly.

Dotman - fixed for NTSC, drives other than 8
Dotman is a Pac-Man clone from Anirog for the unexpanded VIC20. I got these files from Zimmers, but the version there is hard coded to load the second part as ZZDOTMAN from device 8. My iec2sd device defaults to device 10, so I rewrote the BASIC loader to load from whatever the current device is, an...

Re: Space Fortress - unexpanded VIC, converted to disk
@orion70 What error are you seeing? I transferred the .d64 to an SD card in my Final Expansion and the game loaded as expected on a physical VIC. I should note that the BOOTLOADER program is based on code by Dave Curran I found on the tynemouthsoftware site. I meant to acknowledge that on the origin...

Re: Bongo won't start
Try the attached version and let me know.
Looks like the Zimmers version disabled 6502 interrupts, which meant that no key presses would ever be acknowledged, which meant the program got stuck in the title screen cycle betwen $5294 and $5299

PET Loader patched for NTSC (40-column VIC)
I was checking out some VIC20 related sites earlier, and stumbled across a recent summary of VIC 40-column options at a site called Tech Tinkering The summary included an entry for PET Loader - what it seems was once a cartridge based 40-column solution that perhaps tried to position itself as a way...

Re: Bongo won't start
In the thread "Trained VIC20 Games , Cheatcodes and Trainer Pokes", @hacky provides a link to a German site with some trained VIC20 games.
Included is the German version of Bongo. I just transferred this to an SD2IEC device and loaded it on a physical VIC20. Seems to work fine.

Space Fortress - unexpanded VIC, converted to disk
I had a bunch of Romik games BITD, but never this one. Most Romik games were for the unexpanded VIC, and were pretty simplistic, with blocky character-cell graphics, and this one looks to be no exception. Of their library only Moons of Jupiter seems to have any wow factor, but I still like Space Att...

Four Gates to Freedom VIC+16K, modified for disk, NTSC
I couldn't find this title already converted to disk format, so I spent a little time over the Christmas break patching it for disk and for NTSC. I owned this title BITD. It was one the last games I bought before moving to the 8-bit Atari and abandoning the VIC. It was a title that come in a very la...

Re: Trader (24 Oct 2004)
Boray seems to be MIA. I've been sick these past few days so I spent today digging through the code and adapting it for disk access. And I re-enabled the RUN/STOP function. I have not tried to adapt to NTSC yet. I may tackle that another time. To load the first part: LOAD "TRADER",n and th...

Re: Trader (24 Oct 2004)
Is there anywhere to download Boray's zip file? The link is broken
I have the D64 image of Trader, but after Part 1 it still expects to load from tape. Also the version I have is not modified for NTSC.

VIC20 and burning new ROM carts
I found this older post on how to use a 2764 EPROM in a modified Commodore cartridge: http://sleepingelephant.com/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1959&start=15 And I would like to make myself a newer Jelly Monsters cart with the fixed V2 code. But all the Commodore ROM files I have downloade...
