It looks to be a well put-together board, but why are gold-plated connectors more durable?
I'm sure it's been explained before, but are newly-designed carts like this inferior to old/classic carts, when it comes to the edge-connectors?
Cheers,
Mike.

35K RAM expander with built-in SD2IEC - worth it?
Hi guys,
I've noticed this nifty-looking device on ebay a few times:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/273915361496
Does it look like a worthwhile purchase? What are the advantages/disadvantages when compared to some of the other similar carts available for the Vic?
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Zombie Calavera Prologue
Wow! looking good. The game has a great atmosphere and 'feel'... One suggestion I would like to make is that it takes too many shots to kill the baddies,,, Perhaps a single shot for 'weaker' monsters and perhaps two or three to kill the 'stronger' ones? Otherwise, it's great, very smooth animation a...

Re: Favorite magazine type-in
Mine fave was "Frog Run".
Can't remember which mag it was from (PCG?), but it was a very decent Frogger clone. Better than a lot of commercial games at the time.

Re: VIC-20 JetPack [split from: VICE Build and Mods]
Fantastic project, but I baulked a bit at the name - since "Jetpack" is a pretty well-known 8-bit game, although I don't think it was every officially released for the Vic. How about something that better reflects its purpose (you mentioned the SuperExpander) like... "MegaExpander&quo...

Re: Gamebase20 v0.3 - how to use WinVice 3.1?
@Mayhem, Thanks for the reply - I hope I didn't sound too ungrateful or critical! GB20 is a great achievement and we all love it :-) I might give it a go with WinVice 2.4 and see how it goes. I typically don't use front-ends and just access the games directly from within Winvice, but this looked int...
