My vintage computing budget doesn't allow me to buy either this game or a Megacart (especially since I paid a small fortune for my 1541 Ultimate), but if you eventually release a ROM image I can always put it on an SD card and load it into the correct memory position on my VIC with memory expansion ...

I agree. Some years ago the number of members over at Lemon64 grew so large I all but stopped going there. I used to visit it virtually every day, but now I only go there occassionally.Jeff-20 wrote:Size matters. I really think the place benefits from having fewer members than some of the other sites.

my boxed C16 works fine, so i dont dare to use it much (i started it like 2 times in 3 years). Why? If you're not using it you don't really need a working one, do you? ;-) I say enjoy it as long as it lasts instead of letting it gather dust. The day it dies is the time to put it on a shelf. Unless ...

Well, I didn't measure anything but just by eye I ended up adjusting it to .833. First, I set it to .800 and then threw in another bit for good luck. It became .833 rather than .830 because I hit the 3 key twice by accident on my flaky keyboard... Pretty close if I say so myself! :) I did the same ...

Re: New Tape Hardware
Vimfuego at Lemon has designed a device that will allow people to upload/download TAP files via a sound card and record them onto cassette via a 1531 datasette. For the particulars, see the following thread:* http://www.lemon64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33490 Cool stuff! *Vimfuego has given permiss...

Re: Vic-20 copy command from one diskette to another
Hello there I was wondering if anyone knew the command to copy from one diskette to another or is there any program that lets you copy diskettes on the fly? Fred There is no command to copy diskettes, or even single files. There was a discussion about this recently and I seem to remember a disk cop...

This has been discussed here before. At least two of us own one: gklinger (I think) and myself. Although it won't work as a cartridge on the VIC, it works very well as a stand-alone unit connected to the VIC's serial port. It provides two IEC devices, one perfectly emulated 1541 (normally device 8) ...

Really? But the 1541C has a zero track detector... This wont be in the 1541 roms. True, at least for some 151Cs. The two 1541Cs I have owned had identical internals to the 1541, only the drive mechanism differed – they had the newer mech with a lever on the front. Later 1541C drives had a revised b...

I stand corrected. I suppose it all depends on the specific nature of one's own VIC-20 nostalgia. I, for one, will not part with my original books. I don't have any original VIC 20 books, in the sense of having held on to them since the 80s. All the Commodore stuff I have now has been acquired the ...

Re: Commodore Plus/4 Power Supply
Does anyone know where I can get a Plus/4 power supply, or if there are any other types of power supply's with the same pinout? I appreciate any help with this. I'm glad I found a Plus/4, but its pretty useless if I can't even turn it on. I don't think a C128 PSU will work, but a C64 PSU will if yo...
