Re: S-Video conversion possible as plug-and-play solution?

Hey guys, Can someone explain Oge's comment to me: You could try amplifying the Chroma and then 0,1uF/1uF bipolar capacitor plus 470/1000 Ohm resistor between VIC and TV in order to protect the VIC itself. And a 75 Ohm (Chroma to GND) resistor as a final touch. I've followed the practice described b...

Another VIC20 SVideo mod

I know there are several great posts on modding the VIC20 for SVideo. If this method has been done before I couldn't find it. Based on the option by A4000bear, this version is designed for an original NTSC 2-prong gold label VIC with a socketed VIC chip. It differs from Bear's version in that this v...

Help with an FE3 debug?

Got my FE3 (Rev 10) late last week, and assembled it over the weekend. I am having some trouble diagnosing what I think is an error. The unit boots up fine to the FE3 menu. I can select memory expansion configurations and so on. Accessing the Disk Menu returns me to the main screen. Starting BASIC a...

How do we log in? Tried my id for the Denial forum:

"Login error: You have not specified a valid user name. "

I don't see how I create a new id for the high-score wiki. clicking "create account" just prompts me to log in again.

Re: The Count... buggy?

a Youtube video of someone I've just retested it and I didn't notice that, did you started the game from the Cartridge games section or did you loaded it manually ? Started off the menu. Plays fine for a bit, then garbage on the screen or locks up completely. Other adventures seem to play ok. Very ...

The Count... buggy?

Been trying to play The Count on the Megacart... this after my 10yr old saw a Youtube video of someone lampooning the game. Noticed that the game frequently prints garbage on the screen and locks up.

I tried Mission Impossible and that seems to work ok.

Wunder Walta available as PRG?

Is the Wunda Walter game available as a PRG file?

I can find TAP files of it but I want to use it with a real machine, not an emulator.

Thanks

Do you know if there is both a PAL and NTSC version of the game? I spoke to someone on Lemon who offered a PAL version. Is there only one version of the game that runs on both? There is only one version of the game, and it runs fine on both PAL and NTSC. PAL users need to centre the screen as is co...

Re: Mega Cart bugs?

Is there a separate thread for Mega Cart bugs? Some of the issues I have found: Hellgate is buggy - the sound is wrong the aliens eat into the lower side of the screen. On my NTSC VIC everything else works ok so far. On my PAL VIC: Run Stop / Restore results in a blank screen SYS64802 also results ...

Re: 1581 drive - partitions on a VIC?

Hey did you use my disk-loader program ? In this case you may copy files to the 1581 and rewrite the DISK.SEQ file using my Disk writer program. Tell me if you need program/help. I use it on a 1581 but without partitions since my Disk-loader program may load loooooong directories even on unexpanded...

Kind of makes you wonder though. They had to have gone past the idea phase to have bothered with running ads. I tend to think they made a few working prototypes and ran the ads and then Atari's legal department sent a letter and yadda yadda yadda, no can do. Maybe. But there is no prototype mock up...

1581 drive - partitions on a VIC?

Does anyone have a worked example of creating 2, 3 or 4 partitions on a 1581 drive from a VIC-20? The PARTITION AID program doesn't run on a VIC. I am trying to create four equal partitions so I can copy four 1541 disks onto a single 1581 floppy - they all have the same menu DISK.SEQ file so I canno...

I just had a look at some of the TI99/4A game screen shots (and animated gifs) online. Now that I've seen them, I'd have to say that I'm surprised Commodore even risked comparing the VIC-20 to the TI99/4A. The TI's games look amazing...to me, the same quality as the ColecoVision, which was the gold...
