Hello! It seems that people have been expecting me :) Indeed! Now that you're here I can say to your virtual face what I've been saying to anyone that would listen ever since I first saw Robotic Liberation and that is that your demo is fantastic and you're a hell of a programmer. I particularly lik...

Backward compatibility kills nostalgia. That's an interesting observation. I never really thought about it but you're right, backwards compatibility reduces the need or desire for the original hardware as that need or desire is usually driven by software. The 'generic factor' must also come into pl...

Your wife plays VIC-20 games with you? Wow. She's awesome. I've been trying to get my girlfriend hooked on Commodore games. So far, no go but I'm going to keep trying. I think she's getting curious. :)

Re: vic 32k

I would like a cartridge or a kit? Is someone selling them? It's funny you should ask because eslapion, the gentleman who started this thread, designed, builds and sells the appropriately named "Ultimate Expander Cartridge". See here for pricing as well as links to a website with everythi...

Wow, you're on a roll lately. I saw that you won the CMD HD too. Good job! I love it when cool items go to members of the community.

Some once argued that acronyms should follow the sound of the words represented. So, "a RPG" would be accepted because it would be understood as "a role playing game". If you want to be precise about things, "RPG" isn't even an acronym, it's an initialism. An initialis...

What do you think the reaason was for its popularity in the UK? It wasn't so much that the C2N was popular so much as the 1541 et al was unpopular and the reason was price. The 64 was already considerably more expensive than the Spectrum and most folks couldn't/didn't want to spend the extra money ...

The FC Twin is a good alternative but it isn't a replacement. There are some compatibility issues, it doesn't support the NES light gun and it only has composite output. I use an SVIDEO connector with my SNES and it really does make a difference.

please make a disk copy and send it. I wouldn't know where to buy the right disks! I can't even get 3.5" 720k disks for my Atari STs! I do have a box of old 1.2MB disks. I am assuming they are useless though. You sound like someone that should know about floppydisk.com who sell 3.5" and 5...

It's a GNU Zip file. I've put an uncompressed copy of the disk image online for you here. Hope that helps.

Meeting and hanging out with everyone was the highlight of the show for me. Unfortunately I didn't have a Denial button to wear this year but I've got 12 months to get one for the next World of Commodore. :) Hopefully there will be more VIC-20 content next year. After all, it's the 'World of Commodo...
