Interesting!
What's going to be coming the other way?

P.S. VoIoCo - I see what you did there.

Aah, looks much better...
The framerate is about 50% what it was in Firefox (now ~50%) and about 67% what it was in Chrome (now ~200%). I think it's worth it though!

Just watched some videos on youtube. I'd forgotten how nice the arcade game looked! Some of the home ports on mobygames are pretty dodgy though. I like the look of the TRS80 version. It would definitely be doable on the VIC. It would probably need memory expansion to do it justice, so I doubt you'd ...

Yeah, should be around 1.6:1.
I don't have a link for reference, but if you search the forums you should come up with some threads discussing it.

Damned impressive! I get 132% speed with Chrome and 42% with Firefox 3.5. I can type BASIC without it dropping keystrokes! Very nice. Is it possible to "fix" the aspect ratio? This should definitely replace the animated GIF on the Denial front page! Steve [EDIT] Just had a browse of cpu.js...

Very cool! "Vic 20 newbie" indeed. We were discussing how you fit Astro Nell into the unexpanded machine a while back. I noticed you built the rooms up from petscii character definitions. It also looks like some of the screen tiles are carefully chosen bits of code. Are the rooms randomly ...

I don't know if there is one. And if not, all the better!

Since you're writing a Java emulator, have you seen JarVIC?

Wow, that's awesome!
Nice job. Is it based on a C64 javascript emulator or written from scratch?
I don't suppose javascript allows you to output generated sound...

(By the way: the title of this thread could have a few more superlatives! You're underselling it!)

The MegaCart got a mention (and a picture) in the latest ish of Game Developer magazine, in a two page feature about development hardware for 8-bit machines.

Looks awesome. Great to be able to rescale the window. It should really start up with a sensible aspect ratio though, or allow you to specify the aspect ratio on the command line or in a menu option, or display the aspect ratio as you resize. Whee! Thanks! Oh, and Capture the Flag (NTSC) still has (...
