I think Ben Hack (of course!) has done the opposite. He took out a PS* controller from some GH guitar or so and inserted into an old Atari 2600 joystick to make it compatible with the console. In Pedro's case, Ian's idea to wire up an old style joystick cable next to the USB cable seems the best sol...

Not sure, but I observed some malfunction with my C128D's cartridge port too. The simple game cartridges work, but the more advanced freezer cartridges were 50%, in particular when considering how well they work with the built in 1571 drive. Do you need to use a lot of force to insert the cartridges?

I would assume the Stella Adaptor does not support USB input. The two kinds of connectors are quite different in function so it is far from a passive pin converter. Frankly I would look up its function and ask the inventor/manufacturer before I tried. While probably nothing will happen, I suppose yo...

<off-topic> The History of Amy the Squirrel: http://rigby-jones.net/es/amy/ Amy has changed a bit over the years; in the early years (late 1980s to the mid 1990s), Amy was almost always drawn topless (though not in a naughty way), wearing nothing but a very short blue skirt. She was portrayed as mos...

Ah, so ingenious of you to show some mediocre old school games and then the best in class of newer productions. It goes to tell the VIC-20 really had a rather lousy selection of games back when it was available for sale, and not until recently people have begun to unravel its glory. :-P If you sprin...

Surely Pacman + Quikman is a bit of a tautology, in particular as the official Pacman port is mediocre at best? I don't have much experience of people with Asperger's so I can't tell what their typical attention span is, but I would suggest Avenger, Omega Race, Gridrunner as classic VIC-20 games. Pe...

One rather simple game that I planned to implement a couple of years ago is Yetisports 10 - Icicle Climb as featured below: http://www.donpixel.com/play/es/060201201034/ You just need the gameplay, not the graphics or exact theme. My idea was to reverse it into a submarine game, where you have some ...

Bo: Even if the seller would have specified worldwide shipping, chances are you would not have seen those auctions. I have come to the conclusion we are dealing with two different factors when it comes to eBay: 1. Which countries you may send the item to. It helps foreign visitors to know if they ca...

Perhaps some winter themed game with the Olympics just around the corner? You remember that German biathlon game which borrowed graphics from C64 Winter Games. I'm sure you can come up with your very own graphics, just decide on an event to implement. Ski jumping is always cool. Speed skating would ...
