Re: First computer with cell color attributes?
Well, this is a little tough to prove. The TI-99/4 (NOT /4A) was released sometime in 1979. But I can't seem to find exactly when. According to Wikipedia, the Atari 400/800 was released in November 1979. All three of those computers support color cells. However, my gut tells me the TI may have slig...

First computer with cell color attributes?
Did the Atari or Apple have cell color attributes? Or was it a first on the VIC 1001?
I probably should know about the Atari, because I got a 65XE a couple of years ago, but it didn't spark my interest at all.
Besides Commodore, the only other 8 bit I'm interested in are the Acorns.

Re: Cassiopei V2
After I moved from the VIC20 to the C128, at some point I got second disk drive (a 1581), and then stopped using tapes. I put the VIC programs I liked on a single 800k disk. But after watching this video being streamed to the user port with this Cassiopei device I see there is still plenty to discov...

Re: Favorite magazine type-in
My favourite game I ever typed in from a magazine was Space X, written by some Richard Clark. It appeared in September 1984 and it was the only issue of Commodore Horizon magazine I ever got, because my sister went to UK for an english as foreign language summer course. It's for an unexpanded vic an...

Re: In the making: Arukanoido – an Arkanoid clone
I exchanged letters with a boy from Bielefeld like 30 ago. His games were newer than mine, but as I was approaching 18 yo I wasn't really interested anymore. I was rather looking for utilities or something surprising. So I was lazy and didn't follow. It's interesting that in my area, 100 miles from ...

This belongs to my all-time Top-3 favourite VIC20 arcade ports, together with MsPacman and Donkey Kong. Couldn't get to work the latest file, though.

Is the VIC chip socketed so that it can fit the s-video mod without soldering ?
