Yes, I have 2 videogaming projects in mind, plus 1 ludicrous-sized one. Building blocks, eh?

Re: Denial disks using ABC

Apologies upfront for necromancing this thread... it's been over a year from my last (serious) dabbling on this homebrew project. :P Over the holidays, I re-visited this and updated the Awesome Boot Cartridge to work better with IEC directory handling and to automatically load & run a program if...

Re: Thinking of a SuperCPU VIC

I thought there was a convenient hotkey to enable / disable SuperCPU on the VIC. Try ALT+W and watch magic happen!
Or, the supreme developer can add a 'hidden feature' to make the game run faster for the supreme player. :P

Re: New Release: Demons of Dex

Fun little dungeon crawler. Like pulse, this is definitely one of those unexpanded games that would have made for a great hit back in the day. 8) My only complaint is not knowing (in-game) my health risks beyond a 1/2 heart icon. Perhaps the battle / hit point system is rudimentary enough that it do...

Re: Have a safe and happy holidays

Another year passes... happy New Year and, yes, stay safe tonight and this long weekend ahead. Play some cool retrogames, like Popeye and Pulse, especially after a Manhattan or two. We want (most of) you for another round.

Z status from BIT operation

I get how the status register bits N and V get set/unset from a BIT MEMORY operation, irrespective of ACCUMULATOR.
Is it accurate that the status register Z bit gets set/unset from the boolean result of MEMORY AND ACCUMULATOR?

Re: Will Games Age Well as an Artform?

Hey, the 1970s & 1980s was all about experimentation. The plethora of video games were a reflection and a result of that: bad but not all bad. Now that we know more, have more, and can do more, I think both the maturity and expectation level has reached an equilibrium. So when you see someone pl...

Re: I am NOT ebeation

The alias is ebeation and the avatar he used is a photo of Alan Turing (my last avatar on that forum) photoshopped with a stupid kid's hat. I am NOT ebeation, either, and my IP address reflects my real posted location, too. One more down for you! :) But I find this masquerading very amusing, especi...
