It doesn't seem like something most people would want to sell, once had. try ebay! I sold mine a few weeks ago. I have no need for it when there's an electronic version available, and it didn't hold any sentimental value for me. I've got rid of most of my Commodore books to save space; I only keep ...

I voted Other Linux because I use Kubuntu 8.04. Although an official alternative version of Ubuntu it's different enough to be considered a separate OS imho. Other, less often used operating systems: Eeebuntu (on my EeePC, used almost as much as my main machine) Windows XP (Needed for the occasional...

I've wanted one of those since I first heard of them a few years back. If it weren't for lack of space and time to play with more computers than I already have I'd buy one off of ebay in an instant. I've played with a BBC emulator once in a while, and it sure is a great machine with a much better BA...

I wish 6502 was a little easier to use, though.....Kinda barbaric with only 1 register and 2 pointers, that are 8 bit lol XD Funny, I think that's what makes it easy to use. I tried some Z80 programming a few years ago and I couldn't wrap my mind around all those registers and all the different way...

Re: Does anyone have a copy of The Assembler?
Is it the one from French Silk Software you're talking about? We had a discussion about it on the forum a while back. Somewhere on the interwebs is an interview with the guy who made it where he claims it was the only real assembler that could run on an unexpanded VIC. I think someone here put up a ...

Interesting device, thanks for sharing. I still find my XEM1541 adapter couples nicely with OpenCBM for native R/W use with the CBM peripheral (1541/1571/1581), so as intriguing as it is with the USB adaptor, I cannot find a use-case whereas I would need one in C= 8-bit land. I guess it will be ver...

Re: File transfers via 3.5" floppy disk
There is a program (I don't remember the name but I may find it if you need) that writes/reads d81 images to/from a standard floppy drive, so just create/manage your d81 image in some way (Star Commander / DirMaster) and transfer it to a standard 3,5" disk then read it from your vic with a 158...
