bmc64 on Pi 3B+
This project was a nice find -- I was able to hook Pi 3B+ (tiny box on top-left) up to my Commodore 1902 (in Composite) mode -- switching to any 8-bit machine in under 6 seconds: Not pictured was C128 VDC 80-column which comes through very clear but using the middle Composite setting: Separated, no...

Re: Raspberry Pi 400 - Computer in a keyboard!
The Pi 4/400 image should now also boot for Pi 5 (when it ships) as it's using the Debian 12.1 release with boot code for both Pi 4+5 installed. There's a README file in this drive link too, but I'm happy to report these extra features worth noting: KDE Plasma using Wayland(!!) - run RetroArch in a ...

Re: Raspberry Pi 400 - Computer in a keyboard!
Yes, Twister is good with its complementary set of apps and integration with a theme -- load & go, you can't hate on it, because it's free. I'm more mainstream Linux because I enjoy developing and formulating an integrated solution. SBCs have made that a little more fun for me. I just got a cool...

lol - it took just over 8 hours from Providence, Rhode Island for me in my Mini Cooper S convertible. It was a lovely drive in December 2012. I'd like to go, though it would be in a Nissan Juke Nismo. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AIL4fc9veRASEUNNNOloysOlB4Bpro7ghvWCLa_pB-Cr-RroBtWQZEpIbOqjK3...

Re: Raspberry Pi 400 - Computer in a keyboard!
Orange Pi 5 (and now the 5 Plus + case ) are working, but it'll be a few more months until the OS software matures a bit more. :P Meanwhile, I am replacing the former Pi 4/400 image with the new Debian 12 Bookworm release with Linux 6.1 & RetroArch 1.16, updated wallpapers , media, movies, HELP....

Re: Raspberry Pi 400 - Computer in a keyboard!
My final bump make for Pi 4/400 image, as I am now starting new work on the Orange Pi 5 -- it already runs ALL of these playlists, but it should be able to handle all N64 content perfectly and take on PS2 games next. This image has integrated MASTER volume controls that work more as expected, the at...

Re: Raspberry Pi 400 - Computer in a keyboard!
Bump - latest & greatest Pi image has been refreshed with Linux, drivers, firmware, and RetroArch with more multimedia.
VICE core has been updated to 3.7.
Added hotkeys to the console menu to manage its Master Volume control and to adjust it during any RetroArch running game.

Re: Most recent Gamebase with Newest VIC-20 Games?
I ripped quite a few missing screenshots and cover art scans out of that wonderful Gamebase collection for my RetroArch playlists for VIC 20. I find running the VICE cores under RetroArch the best way to present autoload / autostart for all the Commodore 8-bit and the PUAE core for the Amiga machine...

Re: VIC 20 carts :: LAST CHANCE or LANDFILL
Um, I never mentioned anything about "+ shipping". The $25 covers some of the costs and I don't mind shipping it to someone who can use them. :P I PM'ed you if still interested in the 2nd box expanders, expansion slot, etc. in box #2 : ( photo ). Box #1 is going to akator today: (mod: bork...

Re: VIC 20 carts :: LAST CHANCE or LANDFILL
Um, was it really that unclear? I posted $25 each as in each BOX listed filled with their respective carts, crikey no, not for each cartridge -- that would be insanity.
Of course, if you want to BUY them all for $1000 (less than $25 each), well, step right up ...

VIC 20 carts :: LAST CHANCE or LANDFILL
Ship by Easter 20 23 , or in the bin it goes! 1. Over 30 Commodore VIC 20 game cartridges, some duplicates, some in dark brown shell, some 3rd party. 2. Multiple Commodore VIC 20 RAM expanders (3k, 16k), Super Expander, HES carts with a 5 cart expansion slot! Their shells alone might be useful? Pack...

Re: Why is the Machine Language Monitor cartridge so expensive?
Outrageous to pay any real money today for that stuff. OT, but to emphasize my post's point on purchasing 35+ year aged gear: I recently dumped all of my retro gear, all boxed, with their respective floppy drives: Atari 400, 800, TI-99/4A, TRS Color Computer -- donated to my brother's local collecti...

Re: Xbox Series S... the best VIC-20 you can buy!
RetroArch has come a long way. I wouldn't characterize it is as better on any particular platform. It all depends on what you want out of it. If you want the latest PS2 core running content, then you need a powerful rig and lots of storage. Else, the latest SBCs can handle all the rest. I am also ma...
