WANTED: Working VIC20, PSU and all leads.

Hello all, I foolishly part exchanged my VIC 20 back in 1987, for a Spectrum +3. I would now like to relive my youth and get a VIC 20 back again. Preferably it would be the type with the DIN socket for Power, but I'm not that fussy. My original said VC20 on it too, so that would be even better. I wo...

I got my first VIC 20 in January 1983. Unfortunately I don't have it any more (wish I did). It was sold to help fund its replacement which was a ZX Spectrum +3, this was a massive upgrade at the time. After the Spectrum, we got an Amiga A500+. The +3 later went with my brother, and then died. My nex...

A better question would be : "Would all the VIC software in the world add up to 2Gbytes?". And the answer would be... not a chance. :D
Much as I thought. Thanks amramsey.

16GB cards are confirmed to work, in theory 32GB should work too (way too expensive to just buy one for testing)
Would all the VIC software in the world add up to 16Gb?

Think of the Spectrum 16k as analogous to the Vic20 3.5k (unexpanded) Adding FE3 gives you 512kB ram and 512kB Flash Rom configurable in just about any way you can dream up and an SD card reader that emulates floppy drive and accesses up to 2GB. It takes the machine way beyond what it could ever do...

It seems to me that the VIC 20 scene is busier than the C64 scene. The VIC was my first computer. For retro purposes I now have a 48K ZX Spectrum, for which I have a DivIDE+ interface, this seems to be the Spectrum version of FE3? I need to know because if I see a VIC at a suitable price at a boot s...

Thanks! I'm playing the fixed version of "The Dungeons" right now. It's a good game. I find movement confusing though. You can't tell which way you are facing. There is no compass. You can only see three walls, even if there are four exits....you don't know which way is which! An exit mig...
