Ok here's a better idea. Get one of those CD to casette adaptors, it looks like a regular casette but with a stereo jack lead comming out of one corner. Put that in the datacasette and plug that into the sound card input. That should give you something plugged into either the line in (if you have i...

A game for a vic with 16k + 3k RAM expansion. I think this is an EXTREMELY rare memory combination. Isn't it?

Jeff, All Commodore datasettes are running at a specific speed. Normal tape decks for audio are NOT calibrated that way and varies A LOT in speed from unit to unit. Take any tape and play it in one casette player. Listen carefully. Take it to another casette player. The music will have a different p...

So in other words, we should all mail our programs to Carlsson before 1st of June. Right?

Btw, I don't think I have the right settings in my profile to get emails from this BBS, so please post the email here too...

Yes, the stack will be flooded, and you get ?OUT OF MEMORY, just like if you did a lot of GOSUB without RETURN. I think you are wrong there... I just tried this: 10 FORT=1TO10:IFT=3THEN10 20 NEXT Runs forever.... (it seems) While this one: 10 GOSUB10 Generates an "OUT OF MEMORY" error mes...

I thought it would be sooner, but I guess 1 June is okay... Then maybe more people will have time to enter... I think just knowing the deadline maybe will make people take up the challenge... Btw, yesterday I made a "petasc to ascii" converting program on the vic. So now after making a LIS...

Many good tips there! Thanks!

Just wondering.... What will happen if I do this:

10 FORT=1TO100:IFT=40THEN20
15 NEXT
20 ...etc...

If I do this much, will the stack be overflowed or doesn't it matter?

I have a suggestion for a rule:

It should be possible to type in every line without using any command abbrevations/shortcuts. In other words: When listing the progam, no line can be longer than 4 rows on the screen.

Okay?

Anders, Why is PRINT#1 needed? Is it for canceling the CMD command?

You are right, Anders! And there also seems to be a little gap in that picture between the vic20 and the lid of the expansion box. Is the "new" vic20 a little thinner than the old one? Jeff, It's not for switching between cartridges, it's for using them at the same time. For example using ...

You can see the two identical power plugs in this picture: http://home.worldonline.se/boray/datormuseum/vic20-2.jpg I found more pictures here: http://emulazione.multiplayer.it/cbmitapages/foto/vario/vario5.htm There is also a picture of the vic1010. It also seems to have 6 expansion ports... And al...
