Old "hacked" adapter board works fine.

Another new, properly made adapter boards works fine.

I guess I just f'ed up on two adapter boards. :/

Or, just letting it sit overnight fixed it! :D

Yea, I figured I would have wrecked the socket with the thick pins. It was very easy to desolder, actually, all the holes cleaned out perfectly.

Hence, this is buggin' me. I'll try messin' around with it more tonite, I have another adapter board I can use.

Well, I have found the issue... It has to do with that 24-28 pin adapter. Now, the first one I made for it, I used a 24 pin socket on the bottom, and a set of jumper-size pin headers (not the thin ones that can be soldered to the board)... That worked fine. So, I figured i'd take that hack job out, ...

I may have a casing I can use... but this case isn't bad, once it's together, it doesn't have holes in it...

But, yea, i'm gonna take it apart and go over it real well...

Here's a doozy...

I have a newer RC-Vic... and man has it become unstable! I got this one in kinda rough cosmetic shape a while ago, i've been using a bead of hot-glue as a "hinge" on the rear of the case. Not pretty, but it kinda works, though I'll probably replace it with something better soon. Anyhoo, wh...

Actually, I'm using a 10K resistor, as that's what's used on the JiffyDOS boards.

And, I'm kinda new to this EPROM thing, so I wasn't exactly sure what lines were absolutely necessary.

But, I'm using a 27128 with that board, only need two kernels, so only A13 is being used, A14 is being left open.

Yep. They wanted to clear out the warehouses quicker. Not a bad combo deal, imho. :) I'd buy one if it was 1983 and they were looking to get rid of them dirt cheap.

Well i've used one of the boards in my Vic-20 for Jiffydos. Had to modify the board a bit, as just jumpering the pads doesn't do anything for the 27128 eprom i'm using. I've used this schematic as a reference and modded it. Just put a resistor across 1 set of pads, and cut a trace, added a jumper wi...

Well, so far I was able to see only a couple items in the closet. Not sure on what her brother wants to do with them yet... But... so far there are two Vic-20 CR's, and two datasettes (one aftermarket). I have to take pictures of some of the other old stuff in there, I'm thinking that it might make ...
