Sorry Guys I could never get my head around these things... Also I'm still new to this ebay thing but have been asked about the commodore paddles and removed the international restrictions I will post overseas to members of lemon and denial I can never get to grips with posting pics on forums either...

I could be wrong but aren't they 12v DC input in which case a quick rewire of an ATX PSU from a PC with a telefunken plug might do the trick. I check if it fits later today.
Nope its 9 Volt AC so you're half way there thats how the 12 volt DC is generated

Vic20-Ian

I am guessing but because of your location you have a PAL VIC20 the 6560 is the NTSC version of the chip and what you need is 6561 which is the PAL version.

Hi again Guys hi Ian Ian your keyboard problem sounds interesting it could be a number of things Are the wires from the keyboard pcb to the keyboard connector OK? It could also be the keyboard connector itself it could be corroded and not making a good contact don't forget how old these machines are...

Yeah the buzzing/humming is normal that's why commodore used to fill the old brick psu's with epoxy resin it put a stop to the buzzing
but a lot of them overheated as a result and the epoxy made it impossible to replace the caps and regulator

yes the are the same the first chip was made in week 46 1981
the 2nd was made in week 03 1983
you can swap them round in fact that is the vic's video and sound generator
