Here is one that you don't see complete so often .. and basically unused. Its
Gortek with the original sticker and Omega Race cartridge.

Usually both the sticker and the cart are gone when you see it.

FA - quite a few VIC-20 carts, some 64 .. all start at $1.

I've put up several items on ebay all starting at $1 with no reserve and reasonable shipping. I will combine shipping for multiple winnings. I'm not sure of the level of rarity of the items I have, but I would guess Alien Blitz, VIC Forth, Programmer's Aid are a little rare. http://shop.ebay.com/mer...

#111 received and inserted .. I don't think I'll be taking it out. In fact, I
will most likely be putting most of my cartridges forsale.

This is really a great device and I've only just started exploring it.
Thank you for making this available!

My dad had a 64 and I had the VIC. I was in both (with a screw driver)
especially after he got a PC. Its possible I did swap keys because in the
xmas 82 picture I have brown function keys. I know back then I liked the
way the C64 (and the C16 later) but now I like the way the VIC-20 looks.

1983 vs 2009 Its the same VIC-20, but for some reason the function keys in the old picture look grey. The C2N in the 1983 picture is in the closet replaced with a PET style. I've got disk drives now. Looking forward to MegaCart (I think I'm 6 weeks away from it and will be dumping my carts). Oh ... ...

The 1510 is documented in a Japanese brochure which I've partially translated. Not much information is given, however, it does not say its a telelvision and states that it has a composite interface. It doesn't say whether it has a built in speaker or not. But yeah, this ought to be a DIY project. Ph...

I think its just because I learned to type on a Teletype which didn't have
auto-line-wrap. Though fortunately pressing [RETURN] produced a <CR>
and an <LF>. But maybe I misunderstood you? ;-)

A few years ago there was a mandate in Japan for old electronics to be destroyed and celebrities like Ryuichi Sakamoto were trying to get classic items (such as analogue synthesizers) protected or at least preserved. I don't know too much details, but I've heard that some shops actually destroyed ol...

Orion - I've translated the 2nd page of that brochure. Maybe this one ought to go in the WIKI along with the image of the original (salesy) Japanese. *BUT* what is cool, is it gives us more info on that VIC-1510 which it states has a "composite" interface. This is actually the second page,...

Interesting for sure. So, you were basically running the SID's audio through the VIC-20's sound line and then out through the AV port? I would think having direct audio out would be best, but you would need to amplify the signal and filter off the DC. I'll look closer at the details. If you could al...

The wiki fucking rocks and so does this forum. If anyone comes across
one of these TVs (if its RCA or other) you can have nameplates made for
a reasonable price using that photo-metal technique. Most trophy shops
still do this in house.

Re the google image (slightly larger but no doubt the same image). Is the VIC-1515(10?) documented anywhere else? I think someone pointed out that it was actually an RCA TV with some photo-metal nameplates attached to it. A one off, but if the TV were available you could roll your own. http://sdf1.o...

Thanks for pointing that out. I'd be happy to add to that article. It'd be cool
to see a rev B pop up somewhere. Its hard to say how rare these things are
and how many are lying in wait in someone's closet or garage, but there
were tens of thousands made for sure.
