I don't have a web site, unfortunately. I guess I felt it wasn't worth it. A couple of friends simply asked me to make for them what I did for myself. I can do pretty much everything you want as long as it is "standard" and nothing like a 512kb expansion... The maximum a "normal"...

To Ral-Clan:
Back in 1982 I visited the now defunct Eaton super store in downtown montreal. On the 8th floor was the computer stuff. It is there I saw then the VIC-1020 for the first and last time in my life.

Therefore, the answer is yes, these were sold in north america.

Hi Alan, I got a VIC here who's serial number is V007829 (!!!!) it also has squarish keys, and pieces of black tape to cover numkey holes. I was told up to 9000 vics were produced per day at a certain time. If that is true then this must be a very early vic. I was told it was owned by the université...

If what your are looking for is the connector, the R644 from vector will do but it is expensive take a look at these instead: http://rocky.digikey.com/scripts/ProductInfo.dll?Site=CA&V=151&M=305-044-500-202 about 7$ each! There is even connectors for the user port : http://rocky.digikey.com/...

Forget the dishwasher! That a good way to stick minerals to the PCB and induce rust!

The best way I know to clean a PCB is to use flux remover for PCBs.

It will dissolve stuck dirt just as good as alcohol but with static protection.

I use the one from M.G. chemicals.

3 years ago I modified an OLD PC-XT power supply. I took the output cable from a dead 1541-II PSU and attached it to the 5V and 12V outputs of the PC-XT PS and I also took the output cable of a dead vic20 (rev.c) PSU and attached the 5V lines to the 5V output of the PC-XT PS and added a small 9V AC ...

way back then people used to add switches to flip the first bank between blk1 and blk3 and the second between blk2 and blk5. Flipping this second switch to blk5 would also make your ram expansion read only. This was quite useful as it allowed you to load up any cartridge image in either blk1 and 2 o...

I have to confirm this with my partner but I would say with relative confidence he would agree to the following:

- Original VIC-1111 - 20$ Can.
- Original VIC-1110 boosted to 16k - 15$

Contact me on MSN.

We have a couple of commodore original 16k ram cartridges but if you want something else I can make a custom one for you, according to your needs. I recently made one for myself having 32k RAM + eprom for BASIC V4 switchable + 2k of nonvolatile ram à I/O2 and I/O3 for either VIC rabbit (tape acceler...

VIC in VHDL

This guy here: http://home.freeuk.com/fpgaarcade/vic20_main.htm made a whole VIC run in a VHDL platform. I asked him if it would be possible to make only the VIC chip in a small compact VHDL module. He said it would be possible but the cost would be high because of low demand. His exact reply to me ...

I went to digikey.ca and found this:

http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/C062/1627.pdf

I see at least 10 different models which are compatible with the VIC20 expansion cartridge (44 pins with .156" spacing).
