For me, that's just about the limit. Works nice, easy to connect and perfect TAP-support.

In the menu under "Settings" select the "Resource Inspector".

You should measure the audio-lines and connectors on the faulty board with a continuity tester at first.

Be careful with swapping the chip: Never test a working chip in a possibly non-working or damaged mainboard! Not that you have two non-working VICs afterwards ...

Yes, you are right. The RTC will be used for the timestamp of the saved files.
