Hi all, Before my days of owning a VIC-20, I drooled over a CBM4032 (PET) computer at my high school. This machine was WAY, WAY too expensive for my parents at the time, so I never really was able to play with one as I wished that I could. But now with the wonders of emulation, I can "own"...

I'm using VICE with a laptop.

Can anyone recommend a joystick (USB I would guess?) for use with VICE that is good and reliable?

I like to develop with Aart Bik's 6502 compiler (mac/win/lin2c64) and the VICE emulator: http://www.aartbik.com/MISC/c64.html And then I copy the .prg-files it creates, to a disk image for transfer through zoomfloppy or sd2iec to the real VIC. So far I only see one "option" and I'm not sure about that one... And it's for the 64.

As far as I'm concerned, the Vic 20 and Commodore 64 are essentially the same machine. The Commodore 64 is a Vic 20 with the upgrades many Vic 20 owners wanted: A 40 column display and greater memory. Hi where can I get this keyboard map?

Cause I have all sorts of troubles getting the right keys to the right "VIC" keys.

Like where are the "F1, F2" keys, etc?

I'm sure there is a simple answer and I just don't know it...

What is the smallest (portable) device that someone is running VICE on?

I thought about a very small Linux device or something, but am unsure what is ideal.

I kind of envision something with a keyboard of some kind, but I'd like to go even smaller than an Nebook.

Anyone have any ideas?
