If possible, try the dload again, as I lengthened to 50mm. Tried it. Fits. I also added some more room before the first cart slot and the back of the case. That old distance of the slot was enough for the cartridges I know. Of course, it does not hurt to have more room. OTOH, the expander is quite ...

Hi all!
There is a new version of the RAM Disk Driver available in the download section: 0.8
Storing/Retrieving data, Scratch & Rename should be quite stable.
REL file support is experimental, i.e. feature complete but probably buggy.
Have fun!

I printed the PDF, cut it out an tried it on my VIC. If I did not make a mistake with printing it does not fit without removing the mainboard from the casing. The slots look the right size though. The connector of X-Pander 3 that plugs into the expansion port has only 33mm in length. On my Stack Com...

All banks can be switched to any BLK[1-3,5] as well as 3k expansion. Plain memory expansion is possible with protected I/O-2/3 so programs that misbehave do not trigger any switching etc accidentally. Switching all banks to all BLKs sounds great! If you added DMA for external RAM blocks too, it'd b...

Bit by bit we have a real DOS for the RAM disk. :D I wouldn't go too far with emulating a real DOS. I just want to put enough functionality in that you can use file browsers and other disk related programs without problems. Of course, if anything is needed by somebody using it in his program, pleas...

There is a new release of the RAM DRIVE that adds support for the command channel (15). You can now read the status of the last operation, and scratch and rename files. The driver should survive a reset, if the module area remains untouched. Download RAM DISK 0.7 here Running on real hardware as dev...

Nice work! I remember the games you posted first (esp. Tank vs UFO), but not this one. Must have missed that magazine. Note: This game looks like it could be stolen from an american magazine, because baseball is not really well known here in Germany. Can someone confirm this? http://www.tokra.de/vic...

I checked the home page of CommodoreServer again and this time there is a description of how to configure the Comet64! :) I could not find any Vic-20 specific software in the Public Disks section, like the V-1541, but it seems worth giving the Comet64 a try. Does anybody use it already with a VIC-20?

There is a new version of the RAM Disk available for download . A few bugs are fixed (thanks to Mike for the feedback) and the program prints the address of the device number used on startup. Some programs require to use an address in the range 8..11 for saving or loading, so now you know where to P...
