Re: Work in progress: REALMS OF QUEST V
As the saving routine would be custom one in this case, you could also add serial nvram/flash interface. Slower than memory mapped one, but still much faster than disk.

Re: VIC-1905 Pac Man - For Sale **Extremely Rare**
I think Pac-Man rolls easier in the mouth than Puckman... but who knows. Q&A: Pac-Man Creator Reflects on 30 Years of Dot-Eating Wired.com : And of course, the game was originally called Puck-Man, but the name was changed for America because someone might vandalize the “P” and turn it into an “...

Re: Simplest S-Video mod
More likely, our little "friends" went direct to Postimage and "reported" the image files (as porn or copyright, etc...). Sounds more than a bit paranoid considering this . As of this moment, Postimage.org faces not a mere technical problem, but an existential threat. What's hap...

Re: Writing binary data to disk.
Why push/pop Y at all if your code already relies on it to not to change in CHRIN? Also, while Programmer's reference guide says that X is affected, the example given there uses X as index, implying that you don't need to push/pop it either. At least for IEC bus that's safe.

Re: Setup improved and a new printer :)
I don't have my source code here now, but I remember not implementing printer output to save some memory. Instead of returning internal error it should just ignore the command though. At some point I cut down VAR opcodes ($e0-$ff, 224-255) * dispatcher table down to 12 entries in the V3 interpreter...

Re: Setup improved and a new printer :)
I read that Infocom adventures can output the story script to a printer with the simple command ">script". Tried it immediately with TNT's incarnation in VICE with a virtual printer as device #4, but it gave an internal error: I don't have my source code here now, but I remember not imple...

Re: UltiMem
To me that looks like assume state 0 after reset random program code doing lda $9f55 ; state was 0, becomes 1 program ends we then load some Ultimem-aware program which tries to enable registers with three register reads lda $9f55 ; state was 1, becomes 0 lda $9faa ; state was 0, stays 0 lda $9f01 ;...

Re: UltiMem
Thank you both. I somehow missed the register listing when I checked this thread. The new one from Jim is much clearer than the original and comes with answers to most of the questions I was going to ask :D Am I right assuming I can have both RAM and Flash memory in IO2 and IO3, pointing to same ban...

Re: Convert TAP to PRG
The first part (the autostarting one) just sets some vectors and colors, then loads the second part and prints what it just loaded (it's at $1400 if you want to make a loader part for the game), then loads the last part and does "JMP $0351" which contains "JMP $1004" ie "SYS...

I am the one spreading feuds? You've got things backwards. Eh? Your very first post in this topic : This idiot, in a last post on Lemon64, is essentially trying to present me as somebody who badmouths just for the sake of badmouthing. I suspect Groepaz created this account. Not accusing a member of...

I find it absolutely abhorrent that you spread your feuds onto every possible Commodore forum.eslapion wrote:@TNT
