Re: Switchless JiffyDOS kernal switcher?

Where would be the best place to mount it, which wouldn’t spoil the original look of the Vic? Congrats on upgrading to JiffyDOS , 8bitDenial ! If it were me, I would leave the case intact, route the wires out a preexisting opening, and mount the switch as if it were an external peripheral (but I am...

Re: Young Arthur's Quest

With minimum intervention I’ve corrected them to get a playable game, but didn’t touch other faults like a ton of typos, incompatible colors or misaligned words. VIC-20 version requires 16K expansion. Type LOAD”YOUNG ART. QUEST”,8 and RUN to play the game if you are ready to encounter the painful e...

You're famous now: the 8-Bit Guy mentions your work in his latest ! -OGM Thanks!. Yes, I saw it. When he mentioned he was going to try Prince of Persia in the Atari 400 mini, I thought he might mention the VIC-20 version. And he did, and also showed a short video of it :D Cheers Once again, well do...

Lechuck wrote: Sun Apr 28, 2024 2:18 pm Thanks for that. As the game is using 27 columns, I was asuming it wouldn't look OK in NTSC and was initializing it just for PAL (my bad...). Good to see it might be also 'playable' (to some extent) in NTSC.

Cheers

Re: WTB: Cardco Cardboard 6

Jim,

Perhaps a "four-plus-one" configuration could reduce the length a bit, if desirable (i.e., omit the 'X5' and 'X6' slots). Just a thought...

I wouldn't think much more, maybe another 0.1". Enough to get a bit of fresh air between them and not rub or scratch the labels when they are pushed in or taken out. I just measured the gap between cartridge slots on a Cardboard 6 at 0.4" and the pitch at 0.77". Essentially 0.5"...
