Re: New Game: FiZZ for Vic20 (35Kb)

Hello,

I added the TRSE source code for FiZZ on github and added a workaround for a compiler bug... now it is working again.

Re: New Game: Emu's Massive Hunt (WIP)

Hi Andy, Looks really cool, the movements of the player is very nice implemented. I question myself how the gameplay might be, is it more jump and run or are you planning some puzzles in metrovania style? Maybe you need some more elements beside the enemies… like switches, doors, boxes and a bit of ...

Re: New Game: FiZZ for Vic20 (35Kb)

Some feedback from me. (I have only tested the one-player, one char levels) Pressing up for jump while pushing left or right (i.e. a long jump or running jump) is inconsistently handled. Left results in a flying jump, right in no jump at all. (I do understand that long jumps over chasms, as typical...

Re: New Game: FiZZ for Vic20 (35Kb)

I solved some level 9 but now I am stuck on level 12  There are so many new elements introduced in these levels that I have not really come to grips with yet. But I do appreciate the text hints that are specific to each level! They are a nice touch and add some storytelling as well as much...

Re: New Game: FiZZ for Vic20 (35Kb)

Thank you very much for the feedback to my game! The inspiration for the game has many sources, mostly Sutef but also Deflektor, Boulderdash, Portal and others. The game Manifold Garten is new to me, fine for me that you compare a PS5 game :-) Of course I will change the 35Kb memory layout setup, my...

Re: Double buffering screen bitmap

Hi, I'm not really using Assembler but I can show you how I did double buffering using TurboRascal (TRSE). Maybe it helps: (A) Memory setup I used $1000 and $1e00 as screen addr1/2 to switch between. The colour address is $9400 and $9600 The charset location is at $1800, and 192 chars are sufficient...

Re: New Game: FiZZ for Vic20 (35Kb)

Hi,
For the C64 I have added a level builder for FiZZ as external Tool, you can edit a JSON file with new Levels and transform into a disk file . Any interest to add it for vic 20 too?
