Re: Clear plastic cases for Cartridge boxes.

Hi Mike. Thanks for the reply. I can see that my post was abit unclear to understand. (English not my native language) What I'm looking for is a protective plastic box that I can put my paper cartidge box inside. (Hope that gave more meaning) I'm pretty sure I saw something like this somewhere, but...

Columns

This is my version of the popular Puzzle game 'Columns', for the VIC-20. Download from here https://i.postimg.cc/02k937NP/columns.jpg Original game was developped by Jay Geertsen in 1989 for the HP-UX operating system. SEGA acquired the rights and released it for their consoles. Game was later porte...

Re: Pacific Air War (P.A.W)

Anyway I have a question: Is the PAL version too slow (which means its too easy) ??? It bothers me a lot that I could not get the game timing closer for the two versions. PAL version is what I tried. I didn’t find it slow or specially easy (In fact, I was killed very quickly first times I tried) bu...

Great game, Huffelduff. Funny to play, and with very nice graphics. I specially like the detailed 'Landing ship'.

Re: CONNEX (1982) (With source)

When you say you use minimax, does your program use alpha-beta pruning? Its simple to implement, yet will reduce the size of the search tree as much as 2x square root(node count) with optimal move ordering. No, it doesn't use it. I remember having read about branch pruning when learning how minimax...

Re: CONNEX (1982) (With source)

Very nice version, indeed. Your algorithm is certainly effective. I've tried it several times and, especially with IQ 2, it's very hard to beat (in fact, with IQ 2, I haven't been able to win). I tried programming this game in Basic when I was younger and never got anything that was challenging to p...

Re: Video series: Vic20 Recreation (including VIC chip) in TTL

Finding this series fascinating. He now has a monochrome Vic-20 up and running using only modern parts and no FPGAs, which I belive is a first. Looking forward to him getting colour working in the next video. Hope someone makes a PCB design for this on PCB-way so I can build it. https://www.youtube...

Re: Prince of Persia

Sweet, I brought on a new upgrade 👍. While I'm here, I need to ask how to fight the guy with a sword? I'm unable to make my guy punch or kick, all he does is run and jump. To be able to fight, you first need to pick up the sword (for that, you’ll need to find your way all the screens to the left ha...
