Re: Examples of cracked versions of games

What Miklós does is producing trained/improved versions of games, but not cracking them. In most cases, working copies/dumps of the games had been available long ago already, and on the VIC-20, they did not have any noteworthy copy protection that needed to be removed. I know... time of burst nibbl...

Re: Marking bad sectors on real floppy

No one replied?.. Am I getting old, while still using 1541, so probably no one have an idea? It‘s a very reliable piece of HW, the II types I had found on trash 20 years ago worked without any solder action, still now do. I like the „brrrr“ noises when it runs. Can you state somewhat for other HW? 😍

Look closer at some game intros from Miklos, maybe in ten years. He is updating the past now. 😙

Re: Some questions about TheVIC20

Hi Geek on Skates, welcome on Denial. First thing I did some time ago as I got The64 was to check the manuals on the site: https://retrogames.biz/thec64/support/manuals-thec64 Here you should find some hints. Apart from that, using the search function on the Denial site will certainly show you some ...

Marking bad sectors on real floppy

Happy new year to all!
Does anyone know on which old magazine issue (Compute!, Transactor, etc.) I could find that special program for disk drive to mark all bad sectors as occupied?
Edit: of course dealing with 1541...

Re: Atari XE: Is it a console or a computer?

At first glance, I can go for computers, what else?
BTW, as a small hint, I would always post a user friendly link, so others can look too😅.

Re: Games we want to see

That should be fairly doable, look at Buck Rodgers or Pole position to get an idea what it might look like. Oh, you're right, both these game have a very nice vertical pseudo-perspective scrolling which also turns (moves) horizontally... and it goes rather well! That's exactly what's needed here, t...

Re: What color is the border on your (NTSC) VIC-20?

Living in PAL land, I never had troubles to recognize which color cyan is. Italian says „blu verde“ to. So it’s either blue nor green. It’s a beautiful color at all, fitting much well to our lovely vic20 🥰
