Handic VIC Stat and also Handic VIC Graf were actually not that rare back in the days. At least in Sweden and Finland. After all they were made in Sweden. I remember seeing droves of these for sale for the equivivalent of 6 USD in a computer shop clearance as late as 1989. I really should have bough...

Here is ViCalc from 1981 for the unexpanded VIC in tap and prg format.
I have also scanned the manual.

Problem solved thanks to Vic20-Ian. There was nothing wrong with the TAP file.

Yes, I have tried that, but got an "out of memory" error or sometimes the main game program doesn't load at all.
So, I guess there's something wrong with the tap file on Armas site. I have only tried the tap file in VICE and on THEVIC20, not on a real VIC-20.

Does anybody have the manual and a working tap for the VIC-20 Games Designer by Richard and David Darling? I have tried the tap found on Armas site, but can't get the "main gamebase" program to run even when I follow the instructions included in the zip file. Also I can't find the manual a...

Wav-prg and Audiotap work fine with a cheap USB cassette player. It might take some time to adjust the volume, though.
I have recently transferred my old VIC-20 tape collection from 1985 in this way.
